Halifax, Nova Scotia The
Overdrive opening credits are then shown before we go to
ringside. The camera cuts to the arena, where we are set
up for another edition of Tommy Time, and Tommy Purr himself is
standing front and center in the middle of the ring ... a solemn
look on his face, surrounded by two wooden folding director's
chairs, a flat screen monitor, a glass coffee table, and a
zebra-print rug. The crowd cheers as Tommy, dressed in a business
suit, begins to address the live audience. Paulie La Cerva - Yeah, come in. Tony Parizi looks in with a smile on his face. Tony Parizi - Look at my boy! Tony walks in and Paulie stands. The two embrace one another and Tony kisses Paulie's cheek before the smile quickly fades. Tony Parizi - Listen, I heard you've already been going back and forth with Sal. We agreed before you got here that could not happen. Paulie La Cerva - Tony, I meant no disrespect. Sal's just been.... on my mind. Tony Parizi - I understand, but he is a wrestler now and not a part of the waste management business as we are. Treat him the same as the rest of the men and women in this company. Paulie La Cerva - I will certainly try, Tony. Tony then spots the eye candy sitting in the chair. Tony Parizi - This must be Drina. Paulie La Cerva - *nods* Drina Peretti, Tony Parizi, the man who made me what I am today. Tony Parizi - Listen to this guy over here. This man made himself what he is. Tony shakes hands with Drina and flashes a wink at her. Drina Peretti - Pleasure to meet you, Tony. Paulie speaks highly of you. Tony Parizi - Paulie is quite the charmer. Now, there is something else I needed to talk to you about. I have discussed the best way to make money off next week's pay per view and I believe there is only one way to go in the match between JC Michaels and Moose. Paulie La Cerva - I'm all ears. We cut back to the ring before Tony can finish
that thought. "Compton" by The Game plays as Papers and Slim T are led onto the stage by Starvin' Marvin and the crowd is pretty neutral in their reaction to the new tag team. The two big men thunder their way down the ramp and then talk at ringside before they pull themselves onto the apron. Papers steps through the ropes into the ring and he then looks towards the stage as their music ends. We then hear "If You Seek Amy" by Britney Spears and Shengee Shmelky comes out with Rose Lemieux. Rose tries to do her standard entrance, posing for the fans, but Shengee keeps stepping into her path and mugging for the camera. She scowls and mumbles under her breath. Ricky Simms - This might be the oddest tag match ever. Henry Lesher - I know I have lost all interest and they're not even down the ramp yet. Rose pulls herself onto the apron and then takes her place in the corner. She tells Shengee that he gets to start the match. Shengee argues that it's the ladies' first rule here. Rose shakes her head and says it isn't. Shengee then slowly steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Mary Sanderson calls for the bell and Shengee asks her what the hurry is. He tells Papers that there isn't enough love in this world. Papers then swings wildly at Shengee with an upper cut which clearly misses its target. The punch misses, but Shengee falls on his back faster than Paris Hilton on a first date. Papers looks at Slim T and says he didn't even hit him. Slim T asks for the tag into the match. Papers tags T and then places Shengee in a bear hug position while T climbs to the second rope. Shengee begs for mercy as Slim T leaps off the second rope and gives Shengee a shoulder block to the head, right out of the arms of Papers. Slim T then covers him with one finger. 1...2...3! The CCK get an easy victory this week in their debut. Ricky Simms - Well, so much for Team Flava. Henry Lesher - I like how they decided to really hurt him and not take the pin without hurting him first. Shmelk is what is ruining wrestling. Slim T and Papers then turn to Rose and
Starvin' Marvin offers her some cash, all three men smiling. Rose
drops off the apron and runs up the ramp to the stage and disappears
backstage without a word said. The CCK just shrugs and then they
pose inside the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Tony Parizi - Lovely to see you tonight. Myst - You can answer my question. Where are Cordelia and Lydia tonight? Tony Parizi - They are otherwise disposed this evening. Maybe Paulie could find someone to do whatever it is you wish for them to do? Myst - No, I was going to let them go. Tony Parizi - Let my girls go? I pay their salary. Myst - But we don't need... Tony Parizi - No, we have got rid of that which we didn't need. My girls work for this company. Myst - If you're paying them, Tony, they work for you. Tony Parizi - Which makes it not your problem. Myst - Look, Paulie is the GM. His arm candy can hang out with him backstage and on camera, but I don't see where your girls fit into the picture. Tony Parizi - Where do your kids fit into the picture? Myst just turns and walks away from Tony,
shaking her head while a grin crosses Tony's face. "Solitaire Unraveling" by Mushroomhead plays as Frank Merritt Makes his way onto the stage where the crowd boos him. He makes his way down the ramp to ringside with a smile on his face. Ricky Simms - Why is he out here? Henry Lesher - Because more Frank Merritt means a better show. Frank makes his way over to the announce table and pulls up a chair next to Henry Lesher and then grabs a headset and puts it on. Frank Merritt - Lucky for you, a real announcer is here to call this fantastic match. "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays as Max Cameron makes his way onto the stage with the tag title belt over his shoulder. He comes out to a decent pop from the crowd. He stands on stage for a few moments and looks down at Frank on commentary, shakes his head and then makes his way down the ramp to ringside. He pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He leans back in the corner as his music fades and then we hear "Downfall" by Trust Company and Tommy Purr makes his way onto the stage where the crowd gives him a solid ovation. He has the TV title around his waist and then makes his way down the ramp to ringside where he has a few words with Max. Tommy hands his title belt off the timekeeper and then steps up onto the ring apron. He steps through the ropes into the ring and referee Mark Davis calls for the bell to start the match. Frank Merritt - This should be great, my former nemesis against a total douchebag. Ricky Simms - Diplomatic as always, Frank. Max moves in and locks up with Tommy and they grapple to the ropes. The referee asks for a clean break, but they shove one another and then Max gives Tommy a spear to the mat where he lands a series of rights and lefts to the side of the head on Tommy. Tommy then kicks Max away from him and then Tommy jumps to his feet before he gives Max a knee to the side of the head. Tommy then stands Max up, whips him into the corner buckle and then charges into raised knees to the chest from Max. Max then climbs to the second rope and lands a clothesline to the mat on Tommy from there before going for the early pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Ricky Simms - Next week, these two will be part of the tag match to decide the fate of the TV, Aerial and Tag Titles. Frank Merritt - Three titles no one gives a damn about. I am in the World Title hunt. That's a REAL belt. Henry Lesher - The man speaks the truth. Max stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Max then picks Tommy up and power slams him to the mat and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy. Max then stands Tommy up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives Tommy a dropkick in the corner. Tommy staggers out of the corner and then does a faceplant to the mat. Max then places Tommy in a sharpshooter and the referee asks for a submission from Tommy. Tommy refuses to give up to the hold and he reaches out for the ropes while many in the crowd start to chant for Tommy. Frank Merritt - Idiot has stupid in quite the hold here. I am riveted to the action. Ricky Simms - More of your diplomatic attitude Frank. Max tries to hold Tommy still while Tommy pulls himself up from the mat and crawls on his elbows closer to the ropes. Tommy then reaches out and manages to snag the bottom rope which forces the break. Max releases Tommy and Tommy scrambles out of the ring to the floor in order to regroup. Tommy then gets to his feet and turns towards Frank and has a few words for him. Frank stands, but says nothing. Inside the ring, Max sees his opening and he levels Tommy with a baseball slide to his side, driving him into the guard railing. Frank Merritt - Idiot got stupid with the baseball slide. Stupid forgot who he was fighting there. Henry Lesher - That is true. Ricky Simms - I can't believe this. Max stands Tommy up and takes an eye gouge from Tommy. Tommy then slams Max's forehead into the guard railing before he rolls him back into the ring, then does the same himself. Tommy fires another warning towards Frank. Again, Frank stands and says nothing. Tommy stands max up inside the ring and takes a jawbreaker from Max. Max then gives Tommy a vertical suplex to the mat, stands him up and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the mat. Max then goes to the ropes and starts to make his way to the top while Frank is seen removing his headset. Max poses on the top rope. Frank then shoves Max off the top rope in plain sight of the referee who calls for the bell. Frank then returns to the announce table as the ring announcer states Tommy loses the match by DQ. Frank Merritt - Stupid loses by DQ. Tough break for stupid. Ricky Simms - You made it happen. Frank Merritt - Wrong there, Nick. Ricky Simms - Rick. Frank Merritt - No one cares, Nick. Tommy made this happen earlier tonight. This is all stupid's fault. Frank leaves the announce table and starts making his way to the back, but he comes face to face with Tommy. Max slips out of the ring and grabs a chair, behind Frank. Tommy and Frank have a few words at ringside while Max swings the chair towards Frank. Frank ducks the chair shot and the chair smacks Tommy flush across the side of the head with a thud. Tommy goes down quickly and Frank kicks Max in the gut, then throws him over the guard railing into the front row of the crowd. Frank then spits on the fallen Tommy before he starts to make his way up the ramp. Henry Lesher - Now THAT's a superstar. Ricky Simms - Tommy isn't going to be happy with Max or Frank. Henry Lesher - No one is happy with Max or
Frank. Kathy Smith - Look, I know why you're upset, but... Shannon Skanes - I run this company. I don't like being cast aside for Paulie. Kathy Smith - Tony isn't doing that. It's a matter of Paulie being the GM. Shannon Skanes - And they have plans for the JC-Moose match. Kathy Smith - Well, they want your company to maximize its earning potential. That has to be a good thing. Shannon Skanes - It depends on their plan, Kathy. Kathy Smith - You know, there are better ways to pass the time than worry. Shannon Skanes - Look, taking a break to do something that Myst would kill me for makes no sense. Kathy Smith - You've lost your sense of humor lately. Shannon Skanes - Even the best of us lose our smile. I have to make sure that the new GM is kept in his place. Kathy Smith - Do you want to piss Tony off? Shannon Skanes - My company, Kathy. He storms out and she sighs. We return to the
ring. "Voices" by Rev Theory plays as Malk comes out onto the stage where the crowd gives him a warm reception. He then makes his way down the ramp while he high fives fans in the front row. He then rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring. Malk gets to his feet and looks towards the stage as his music fades and "Solitaire Unraveling" by Mushroomhead starts to play for the second time tonight. Frank comes out onto the stage with a big smile on his face and then he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring, the crowd greeting him with loud boos. Frank stops at ringside and shakes his head, saying that Malk isn't worth his time. He then pulls himself onto the ramp where Malk greets him with an eye gouge and then rakes his eyes along the top rope before giving him a right hook that sends him down to the floor from the apron. Malk then rolls himself out to the floor and starts putting the boots to a dazed Frank Merritt. Ricky Simms - Frank got jumped here by an ally of Tommy Purr. Henry Lesher - Malk, if you let him up, Frank is going to snap your neck. Malk picks Frank up and slams him to the floor. He then stands Frank up and whips him towards the ring steps, but Frank blocks the attempt and then he whips Malk shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Frank then gives Malk a fall away slam to the floor which impresses the fans with Frank's raw power. Frank then stands Malk up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. Referee Steve Blake can then finally call for the bell as Frank boot chokes Malk, using the top rope for added leverage. Frank releases the rope before the referee can reach the five count and then he stands Malk up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a shoulder block back down to the mat. Frank then gives Malk a knee drop to the forehead and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Malk. Ricky Simms - Despite the early attack by Malk, Frank has control back. Henry Lesher - Frank is simply the man. Malk's night is done now. Frank stands Malk up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a knee to the gut before giving him a gutwrench suplex to the mat. Frank then stands Malk up, whips him into the corner buckle and then charges into the corner, giving Malk a series of shoulder blocks. Frank then climbs to the second rope and starts raining down punches to the head on Malk. Malk responds by pulling Frank out of the corner and giving him an inverted suplex followed by a headbutt which sends Frank staggering backwards and then Malk gives him a standing dropkick to the mat. Malk then goes to the ropes in the corner and makes his way to the top. Frank stands and Malk goes for a flying dropkick on Frank. Frank manages to side step the flying dropkick and Malk crashes to the mat. Frank then puts the boots to Malk which causes Malk to roll himself out of the ring in search of a breather. Malk gets to his feet and takes a kick to the face through the ropes from Frank. Ricky Simms - Frank is showing his vicious nature tonight. Henry Lesher - Tommy awoke that in him, I believe. Tommy is so smart. Ricky Simms - Frank was calling him stupid and you supported Frank. Henry Lesher - I never called Tommy stupid. Malk pulls himself onto the apron and then steps back through the ropes into the ring. Frank then kicks Malk in the gut and then takes a thumb to the eye from Malk. Malk whips Frank through the ropes and out to the floor. We then see Tommy Purr heading down the ramp while medics try to convince him to stay out of this after the chair shot he took. Tommy makes his way around the ring to Frank and starts trading punches with Merritt while the referee is forced to call for the bell. Merritt and Purr exchange punches and Merritt even takes a couple of shots at the medics for good measure, knocking them both down. Merritt then slams Tommy's head into the guard railing and then takes a kick to the back from Malk. Malk then slams Frank's head into the guard railing and follows that up with a DDT to the floor. Malk stands over Frank and then asks Tommy if he's okay. Ricky Simms - Frank and Tommy are down, Malk standing over both. Is this a preview of Terror in the Aisles? Henry Lesher - No, Malk might stand over a
dessert cart before the event. He won't stand over Frank. Ray Dees - I just got word of a meeting going on back here, something very hush hush. I had to see if it was true. This could be huge. Ray reaches the end of the hallway and puts one finger over his lips before he slowly opens the door. JC Michaels is seen with Max Cameron and it appears they are discussing something serious. JC notices that the door is open. JC Michaels - Pardon me? Ray Dees - I am stunned you two are back here, meeting like this. Max Cameron - Not your business. Ray Dees - This could be huge! JC Michaels - Open the door again and it's the last thing you do. JC slams the door in Ray's face. Ray pauses, staring at the door for a moment before he turns back to face us again, a strained smile on his face. Ray Dees - There you have it, a meeting backstage which we have no idea what the nature of it is. We can only guess at what might be happening. We can only guess. Ray sighs and shakes his head. Ray Dees - Sometimes my life sucks. "Me Against the World" by Simple Plan plays as Eli Ryder and Kira Yakamoto make their way onto the stage. The crowd gives them a warm response. They make their way down the ramp to ringside, arm in arm as they do so. Eli steps up onto the apron and then holds the ropes open for Kira and she jumps through them and into the ring. Eli then steps into the ring next to Kira and they look towards the stage while their music fades. We then hear "King of the Stereo" by Saliva. Jack Spade and Bombshell make their way onto the stage. The crowd gives them a strong ovation as well and Jack quickly makes his way down the ramp while the brooding Bombshell follows behind. Jack slides under the bottom rope into the ring and Kira steps through the ropes onto the apron in their corner. Referee Casey Braun calls for the bell while Spade looks back towards Bombshell with some concern. Ricky Simms - Bombshell hasn't been herself lately. Henry Lesher - I thought any change would be an improvement from trampy whore, but gothic whore is just as bad. I was wrong. Bombshell stands at ringside while Spade locks up with Eli inside the ring. Spade backs Eli to the ropes where the referee asks for a clean break. Spade and Eli back off and then they move in for another lock up. Eli then knees Jack in the gut and then whips Jack into the corner buckle before giving him an arm drag back to the middle of the ring. Eli then places Jack in a sleeper hold while Bombshell finally takes her place in her corner. Jack refuses to submit when asked by the referee and he reaches for the ropes. The crowd starts a chant for Jack Spade as he continues to fight against Eli's hold. Jack then reaches back and grabs Eli around the neck and does a snap mare to free himself before he rolls to his corner and tags in Bombshell. Bombshell enters the ring and puts the boots to Eli. She then stands him up, whips him off the ropes and he ducks a clothesline before giving Bombshell a clothesline to the mat. He then rolls to his corner and tags in Kira. Ricky Simms - The divas will do battle now. Henry Lesher - I officially don't care. Kira charges into the ring and spears Bombshell to the mat. Kira then stands Bombshell up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a monkey flip to the mat. Kira then jumps to the top rope, leaps off and gives Bombshell a flying headscissors to the mat where she then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bombshell who quickly rolls herself out of the ring for a break from the high flying Kira. Kira then jumps onto the ropes and gives Bombshell a missile dropkick on the floor which sends her falling into the guard railing. Kira stands over Bombshell while the crowd cheers her on. Kira then stands Bombshell up and rams her head into the ring apron before sliding her into the ring and then doing the same herself. Kira goes for the pin. 1...2... another kick out by Bombshell. Ricky Simms - Kira nearly had her there. Henry Lesher - Kira is one of the few who haven't had Bombshell. Kira stands Bombshell up, whips her off the ropes and Bombshell ducks a clothesline from Kira and then gives her a bulldog to the mat before going for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira. Bombshell then stands Kira up and gives her a series of rights and lefts into the corner. Bombshell then whips Kira to the opposite corner and then goes for a running knee lift only to find no one home as Kira sidesteps it and then she rolls to her corner and tags in Eli. Eli charges into the ring and spears Bombshell to the mat as Kira had minutes before. He then picks Bombshell up and slams her to the mat. Eli then jumps to the top rope and leaps off, landing the Disasterpiece on the fallen Bombshell before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Kira and Eli get the win this week. Ricky Simms - Eli maintains momentum heading into Terror in the Aisles while Kira shows they still have great chemistry inside the ring. Henry Lesher - No one cares. Eli's music plays for a moment, but then we hear "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy and Paulie La Cerva comes onto the stage with Ariel Johnson. She's crying her eyes out as Paulie wraps his arm around her shoulder, shaking his head, with a microphone in hand. Paulie La Cerva - Eli, tsk tsk tsk my friend. Ariel here came to my office upset by what happened. Your sexual advances on this innocent girl have left her scarred. Kira, you're lucky you're in one piece. Maybe your bruises aren't as public as poor Ariel's here. Eli, I hate to do this. I have to place you on paid leave until these charges have been investigated. Eli rolls himself out of the ring and charges up the ramp. He grabs the microphone from Paulie. Eli Ryder - This bitch is lying! I never went near her! This is bullshit! Security rushes out and gets between Paulie and Eli before Paulie grabs the microphone back. Paulie La Cerva - Hey now, buddy, I believe in innocent until proven guilty. The problem is, we have a lot of young ladies on our roster here and I can't allow you to be backstage until an investigation has been completed by Lydia Parizi. Eli Ryder - That bitch? Paulie la Cerva - There is the vile B-word again. Eli, this is for your own good. Oh and for Kira inside the ring, I hope you relish tonight's win a little. Next week, you take Eli's spot in the tag match at Terror in the Aisles. Jack, you're a lonely man with a match... *turns to security* Get Eli's ass out of here. Security drags a kicking and screaming Eli away while the fans boo Paulie and start a "Bullshit" chant. Paulie looks around at the crowd and shakes his head before he turns his attention back to the ring. Paulie La Cerva - Backstage, Jack, things are a total mess. See, Myst and Shannon are on the outs again. Kathy and Shannon are apparently involved. I don't know. I want to see someone be her champion. Jack, you're the man for the job. Next week, you team with Myst to face Shannon and Kathy in a mixed tag team match. We'll see what secrets these people have been hiding then. The crowd cheers the announcement briefly, but Paulie then exits and an "Eli" chant starts up. Jack just stands in the middle of the ring and shakes his head. Ricky Simms - Welcome back, Jack. Henry Lesher - Kira gets into a title match and Jack gets into a soap opera. That doesn't sound right to me and I hate Jack Spade. Ricky Simms - I can't believe Ariel made up a story like this to go after Eli. I had no clue she was like this. Henry Lesher - Hey, we don't know what happened. Lydia will do a fair investigation. Ricky Simms - Like hell she will. Myst - What the hell is he doing? Drina Peretti - He cares about this company, Myst. He is simply wanting a resolution to the issues you have had with Shannon and this should help. Myst - That's a crock. He wants to distract us from what he's doing. How can he suspend Eli, one of the best wrestlers on the roster? Drina Peretti - Hey, you were all for firing him a few months ago. We figured you would be happy. Besides, after what happened to Ariel... Myst - Nothing happened to Ariel. This is a complete farce. Drina Peretti - Hey, I don't call a woman a liar so fast. Paulie La Cerva - *as he enters the office* Neither do I. I am doing the best thing for all parties involved. We'll have an investigation and we can also Dr. Phil you and Shannon while we're at it. Myst - What? Paulie La Cerva - I forgot to mention that? Dr. Phil will be the referee for this mixed tag match at Terror in the Aisles. He is a master of these kinds of things. Myst - How much is that costing me? Paulie La Cerva - Myst, you have to spend money to make money. You've heard that before, haven't you? Myst - This is a complete joke. Paulie La Cerva - Oh ye of little faith. Paulie will take care of you, Myst. I can take care of all of you. Myst mumbles to herself as she walks out of the
office and Paulie winks at Drina. "Suicide Messiah" by Black Label Society plays as JC Michaels steps out onto the stage where the crowd gives him a mixed reaction. He has a microphone in hand. JC Michaels - I have been in a lot of events over my years as a wrestler. What just happened to Eli Ryder was the worst thing I have ever seen. It just furthers my belief that this company is a complete joke. Now, I am going to destroy your unstoppable champion. I am going to expose him as a pretender and then you people, you're going to have to face facts. The EVC is the best in this business because... WE DON'T CARE! JC tosses the microphone away and storms down the ramp to ringside and then he pulls himself onto the apron before he steps through the ropes into the ring. JC then tests the ropes while his music fades and then we hear "Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits and The Moose comes out onto the stage where the crowd gives him a standing ovation. He holds the CWA World Title high above his head and then makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He stops at ringside and hands the title belt to the timekeeper and then makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron. Moose then steps through the ropes into the ring and referee Francis Clarke calls for the bell to get the match underway. Ricky Simms - This is an emotionally charged match here. Henry Lesher - The EVC's big night starts here. Next up is Gary Barber winning the Old School Title against Sal Clemenzo. Quote me on that. Moose and JC start trading punches in the center of the ring and then they start trading knife edge chops to the chest. Moose then whips JC off the ropes and both men clothesline each other to the mat. Moose and JC then both quickly get to their feet and start trading punches again. Moose ducks a punch from JC and then kicks him in the gut, gives him a series of forearm smashes to the jaw and then whips JC into the corner buckle. Moose then charges straight into a clothesline from JC Michaels who then starts putting the boots to Moose while the fans boo. JC then stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a shoulder block back down to the mat before JC gives him a leg drop across the throat and then JC goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Ricky Simms - That was close to an upset. Henry Lesher - JC winning would not be an upset. It would be overdue justice. JC stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick to the mat. JC Michaels then goes to the ropes in the corner and climbs to the second rope. Moose gets to his feet and takes a double axe handle smash across the back from JC Michaels. JC then picks Moose up and slams him to the mat before giving him an elbow smash to the throat and he again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. JC then stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and then misses with a clothesline when Moose ducks it. Moose then eye gouges JC and then whips him through the ropes and out to the floor before he rolls himself out as well. Ricky Simms - Moose heads to the floor where both of these men are comfortable. Henry Lesher - I see JC dominating a hardcore styles match, though. It's a bad move by Moose. Moose stands JC up, kicks him in the gut and then slams his head into the steel ring steps. JC answers with a kick to the gut on Moose and then slams his head into the ring steps. JC then picks Moose up and power slams him to the floor and then he stands and rolls himself into the ring while the referee starts the count out. Moose is on his feet at the five count and grabs the bottom rope. JC then kicks him in the face through the ropes. JC raises his arms in mock victory and draws boos from the crowd while Moose shakes his head on the floor and then slowly makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron. Moose then climbs through the ropes where JC greets him with a series of double axe handle smashes across the back. JC then whips Moose off the ropes and hits him with a shoulder block. Moose staggers, but does not go down and Moose then gives JC a kick in the gut followed by a gutwrench suplex to the mat. Moose goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by JC. Ricky Simms - Both men are giving it their all in this one. Henry Lesher - And JC is the better man. That's just how it is. Moose stands JC up, whips JC off the ropes and JC ducks the clothesline and then he and Moose start trading punches again. Moose then takes a knee to the ribs from JC who then gives Moose a snap suplex to the mat, stands him up and then picks him up before giving him a brainbuster to the mat. JC then goes for the pin. 1...2... Moose rolls a shoulder out and JC starts arguing about the speed of the count with the referee. JC then stands Moose up, whips him into the corner and then gives him a hip toss to the middle of the ring. The lights then go out. Ricky Simms - Oh, no... Henry Lesher - The CWA is out of business! I have so many people to thank for this moment. It's like the Oscars! There is a loud thud heard inside the ring and, a few moments later, the lights come up again. Moose is out cold and bleeding from the forehead while JC stands bewildered inside the ring. The cameraman then spots a cinder block at ringside, one which appears to have a crack in it. Henry Lesher - Dante has joined the EVC! Ricky Simms - Paulie has made it look that way. This is the way the new GM wants the match to go. JC picks Moose up and gives him a running power slam to the mat and then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! JC Michaels wins the match and earns his way into the main event at Terror in the Aisles! Ricky Simms - Well, JC can pretend it was the power slam that won it if he wants to. Henry Lesher - You're a poor loser. Your champion, Moose, has been pinned inside that ring tonight. JC is in the main event and he will be your next world champion. Mark my words. The crowd boos as JC stands over the bloodied
world champ. He then rolls himself out to the floor and picks up the
title belt from the timekeeper. He smiles and holds it high, telling
the cameraman this is going to be his in a week. Shannon Skanes - Where's Paulie? Drina Peretti - No one every wants to talk to me. It's all about Paulie. Shannon Skanes - He's booking me to face Myst? Drina Peretti - He is worried about your marriage. He thinks everything should be out in the open. Shannon Skanes - He's throwing up a smoke screen. I saw what he did to Moose out there. Paulie strolls into the office. Paulie La Cerva - What happened to Moose? Shannon Skanes - You're a piece of work, Paulie. Paulie La Cerva - Look, this company has issues. I am trying to fix them. Now, what happened to Moose? I hope he's okay? I heard something about Dante being backstage tonight? Shannon Skanes - No, Dante isn't here. Paulie La Cerva - It was Ryan Yorke then. Shannon Skanes - What? No! They look nothing alike. Look, I know you cost Moose that match. Paulie La Cerva - Hey, I was securing you guest referees for Terror in the Aisles. Shannon Skanes - I don't believe you. Paulie La Cerva - That's a shame. I have even got some performers coming in to call matches that these fans haven't seen in ages. Tony told me you were ungrateful. Shannon Skanes - Tell Tony I said... Tony Parizi - *from the doorway* Told me what? Shannon turns and stands nose to nose with Parizi. Shannon Skanes - If things continue like this, I might challenge you to a match. Tony Parizi - You're a funny man, Shannon. A
very funny man. "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy plays as Cordelia Parizi makes her way onto the stage. The crowd boos her, though there are a few catcalls. She has a microphone in her hand. Cordelia Parizi - Before we get to the main event tonight, I want to make an announcement. Terror in the Aisles is going to be huge. We are aware of that. Paulie La Cerva has decided that it will be held in two weeks. He has also decided it is too big for one city, so the title tournament will take place in Boston while the rest of the card will take place in New York City. *crowd boos* Don't be mad at me because your city isn't important enough to get a pay per view. I didn't make Halifax a terrible place to live or visit. It's certainly not my fault. Cordelia turns and exits while the fans inform her by chant that they think she sucks and they question her sexual morals. Moments later, "Hollow Man" by The Hollow Men plays as Gary Barber makes his way onto the stage. The crowd boos him, but he pays them no mind. He points to his waist and tells the camera that the EVC will finally get their spot in this company tonight. He then struts his way down the ramp to ringside and then he pulls himself onto the apron before he pulls himself into the ring. He then leans back against the ropes while his music fades and we hear "Halls of Fear" by Nino Rota and Sal Clemenzo makes his way onto the stage. The crowd cheers him and Cassandra as they make their way down the ramp, arm in arm. Ricky Simms - Tonight's main event should be a classic. Henry Lesher - I rarely agree with you, but it should be. Now, shut up and let me enjoy this. Clemenzo stops at ringside and holds his Old School belt high over his head and then he has words with Gary Barber. Barber motions Sal into the ring. Sal pulls himself onto the apron and then he steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get the match started. Sal locks up with Gary and then grapple back and forth. Gary headbutts Sal and then he gives Sal a kick to the ribs followed by a series of knife edge chops to the chest. Gary then whips Sal off the ropes and gives him a big boot to the chest which sends him down to the mat. Barber then gives Sal an elbow to the chest and then stands Sal up and whips him through the ropes to the floor. Gary then drops and rolls himself out to the floor. He stands Sal up and takes a jawbreaker from Sal. Sal then whips Gary shoulder first into the steel corner post. Ricky Simms - Sal is in control of this one at this moment. Henry Lesher - For the moment, yes, but the EVC is on a run here. Sal rolls Gary into the ring and then rolls himself in. Sal then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Gary Barber. Sal then stands Gary up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a dropkick that sends him down to the mat. Sal then lands a springboard moonsault onto the fallen Barber and hooks the leg for another pin attempt. 1...2... Gary rolls a shoulder out in time. Sal then stands Gary up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a hip toss to the mat where he applies an arm bar. Gary quickly gets to his feet and delivers a series of knife edge chops on Sal which drive him into the corner. Gary then lands a few body shots on Sal before he perches him on the top rope. Gary then climbs the ropes and then gives Sal a superplex to the mat. Gary then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sal Clemenzo. Ricky Simms - Close call on that one. Henry Lesher - Gary is the better athlete. Sal can have you erased. It should be a saw off throughout this battle. Gary stands Sal up and whips him into the corner buckle. Gary then gives Sal a series of shoulder blocks in the corner before he pulls him to the middle of the ring and then he applies an abdominal stretch on Sal. Sal refuses to submit when asked by the referee and he reaches for the ropes. Gary punches Sal in the ribs to try and force the issue. Sal responds by giving Gary a hip toss which breaks him free of the hold. Sal then applies a sleeper hold on Gary, but Gary reaches back and thumbs Sal in the eye. Gary then turns and gives Sal a series of rights and lefts to the side of the head. Sal answers with a knee lift to the gut and then he gives Gary a double under hook suplex to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Gary Barber. Ricky Simms - Lots of near falls in this one already and the crowd is into it. Henry Lesher - The crowd is just happy they don't have to see Hoshi tonight. I know that makes my night. Sal stands Gary up. Gary gives Sal a forearm smash to the ear and then places him in a headlock before giving him a bulldog to the mat. Gary then goes for an STF, but Sal is within reach of the ropes and he quickly grabs the bottom rope before Gary fully has the hold locked in. Sal then rolls himself out to the floor with Gary close behind. Gary grabs Sal by the arm and whips him right into the steel corner post. He then picks Sal and and slams him onto the announcer's table. Gary then picks up a monitor off of the announce table and appears ready to drill Sal with it. Sal rolls himself off the table and ducks the monitor shot from Gary Barber. Sal then gives Gary an atomic drop on the floor and then he gives him a facebuster to the mat covered concrete. Sal then stands Gary up and rolls him into the ring before he does the same and then goes for the pin. 1...2... Gary gets a foot on the bottom rope. Ricky Simms - I cannot believe Gary was able to do that. Henry Lesher - He is the toughest man in this company and he will be the champ at Terror in the Aisles. Sal stands Gary up, whips him off the ropes and they both clothesline each other to the mat. The referee starts to count them both down while the fans start a chant for Sal. The referee starts counting both men down. On the four count, Sal kips up to his feet. Gary Barber sweeps his feet around and then trips Sal back down to the mat. Gary Barber then applies a camel clutch on the downed Sal. The referee checks for a submission, but Sal is not willing to submit to the hold. Sal instead starts to push himself up onto his knees which would weaken the hold. Gary struggles to keep the hold in place. Ricky Simms - It's a battle of wills here. Whose will is stronger? Henry Lesher - Gary's is. Lesher pulls himself a little closer to the ropes and then he spins himself around before placing his feet over the bottom rope. This forces a break of the hold. Sal then pulls himself out to the floor while Gary gets to his feet inside the ring. Gary tries to execute a baseball slide on Sal, but Sal side steps it and then he headlocks Gary and gives him a bulldog to the floor. Sal then picks Gary up and drops him on the guard railing, catching Gary's throat on the steel before Barber falls to the floor in visible pain. Sal then rolls himself into the ring while the referee counts Gary out. Sal poses inside the ring while Gary remains downed on the floor. The referee then rolls himself out of the ring to check on Gary. He then calls for the bell and makes the "X" symbol with his hands, causing EMTs to come rushing out with a stretcher. Ricky Simms - Sal has been awarded the decision and remains the Old School champ, but Gary took a nasty fall there. I may not like the EVC, but I harbor no ill will toward them. Henry Lesher - Good move by Sal. If you can't pin the guy, try to kill him. That's class from your hero Sal, Rick. Sal rolls himself out of the ring and grabs his Old School title belt from the timekeeper and then looks back toward Gary Barber. He then places the belt over his shoulder while Cassandra takes her place at Sal's side. We then hear "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy and Paulie La Cerva again takes his place on the stage. He has a microphone in hand and he doesn't look pleased. Paulie La Cerva - Sal, been awhile... noticed you still have that title belt. That's great. The thing is, I want a large buy rate for this event. I want people to want to watch Terror in the Aisles and, frankly, you don't have that quality. Gary Barber does. The problem is, you won and you secured your place in the main event for the title. In an effort to preserve fairness to Gary here, he will be inside the ring in two weeks as I have expanded the round robin to a field of seven. That should allow this company to make the kind of money it should. Again, Sal, congratulations and best of luck to you. You're a putz. Paulie turns and leaves while Sal appears ready to chase him down. Cassandra cools Sal down and tells him to leave it alone, that he's still the champ. Ricky Simms - Paulie is not a Sal fan, and I am not sold on Paulie, but he has made one helluva night even greater by putting both of these guys into the mix for the world title at Terror in the Aisles! Henry Lesher - And you doubted him? That shows what you know. Ricky Simms - Fans, tune in two weeks from tonight for what will be one of the most grueling nights that the CWA has ever seen. It will be spectacular, incredible, maybe even EPIC. See you then! We fade to black on EMTs attending to Gary who appears to be awake, but his breathing is labored. |
