February 22nd, 2009 Edition "Opticon" by Orgy plays as we see the opening
credits for tonight's Overdrive, the first after a very successful
Battle of the Warriors. We see images from that night, JC Michaels
against Tommy Purr, Sal Clemenzo against Shadow, Shannon Skanes
against Rated R, an emotional reunion of Leech with a dead cat,
BasketKase beating down Max Cameron, Eli Ryder chasing off the
Midnight Rider for Greyson Blaze, and Moose standing a moment before
Gary Barber to remain the CWA champion while we then hear the music
fade into chants for Moose. Ingee Shmelky - I don't know about this. Shengee Shmelky - I know what I am doing yo. I be da man yo. Ingee Shmelky - I talked to Olivia about that and she says you're not the man. Shengee Shmelky - She be whack yo. Watch dis. Shengee knocks on a door and Laura "Candy" Strong answers. Candy - What the...? Shengee Shmelky - I... I.... see I.... Shengee turns and runs straight into a wall and falls to the floor, his nose bleeding. Candy looks at Ingee for answers, but Ingee can only shrug. Ingee Shmelky - I think he had to pee. Candy - He knocks on our door to tell us that? Vesuvius steps into the doorway and smirks. Vesuvius - Hornswoggle is here. Ingee Shmelky - Shengee just wanted to talk to you. Candy - Why? Vesuvius - Oh, isn't that precious? He has a crush on my Candy here. Tell your mongrel brother to forget it when he comes to. I'm sure Scav would love having that for a potential brother in law. Don't make me laugh. Vesuvius steps away and Candy looks over at Shengee and sighs before she slowly closes the door. Ingee then attends to his brother and starts to help him up. Shengee Shmelky - Who dat? Who be there yo? Ingee Shmelky - She didn't laugh or mace you, bro. That has to be good. They slowly make their way down the hall and we
head to the action inside the ring. "Party Hard" by Andrew WK plays as Helena Vanderbilt makes her way onto the stage, the crowd giving her a warm response. She is walked onto the sgate by Shelia Lavin and they make their way down the ramp together while talking strategy for this match. Helena then pulls herself onto the apron and steps through the ropes into the ring while Lavin takes her place at ringside. Their music then fades and we hear "My Own Enemy" by Thousand Foot Krutch and Greyson Blaze comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. He holds the Aerial title high above his head and then makes his way down the ramp quickly to ringside. He then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring, tossing his belt to the timekeeper from the ring. Referee Mark Davis then calls for the bell and Helena and Greyson circle one another. Ricky Simms - Great match up to start the show here. Henry Lesher - Your standards have been analyzed and found wanting. Greyson locks up with Helena and Helena shoves him to the ropes. He then gives her a series of forearm upper cuts which drive her into the corner buckle. Greyson then whips Helena off the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but she manages to grab the ropes and then she delivers a knee drop to the chest on the downed Greyson. Helena then stands Greyson up, whips him into the corner and then gives him a running back elbow to the chin before she gouges his eyes along the top rope. Helena then places Greyson's throat over the top rope and chokes him with it while Shelia applauds and nods at ringside. Helena then gives Greyson a clothesline to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Blaze rolls a shoulder out. Ricky Simms - Helena knows Greyson has been on a hot streak and she wants to end it fast. Henry Lesher - He's been lucky. He hasn't really defeated anyone yet. Helena stands Greyson up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a knee to the gut followed by a scissor kick to the back of the neck and she again goes for the pin. 1...2... Greyson kicks out. Helena then stands Greyson up, whips him off the ropes and Greyson ducks a clothesline before giving Helena a reverse neckbreaker to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Helena. Greyson then stands Helena up and whips her into the corner buckle. He then rushes into the corner and gives her a shoulder block before he sets her on the top rope. He then climbs and appears ready to deliver a superplex on Helena which draws cheers from the crowd. Shelia then jumps onto the apron and starts arguing with Greyson. He turns his attention to Shelia and Helena makes him pay by tossing him off the top rope and down to the floor. Helena then climbs to the top herself and then leaps off, giving Greyson a flying cross body to the floor. Ricky Simms - Helena taking advantage of the distraction by Shelia there. Henry Lesher - Greyson has to be smarter than that. Helena stands Greyson on the floor and then whips him shoulder first into the steel corner post. Helena then rolls him into the ring before she does the same herself and Shelia nods her approval. Helena stands Greyson up, whips him off the ropes and both wrestlers clothesline one another to the mat. The referee starts counting them both down while fans can be heard cheering for Greyson to get up here. On the five count, both Helena and Greyson kip up to their feet and then they lock up. Helena knees Greyson in the gut and then backs him into the corner where the referee asks for a clean break. Helena takes a step back and then slaps Greyson across the face. Greyson answers with a kick to the gut on Helena and then gives her a vicious knife edge chop to the chest before he picks her up and gives her a snap suplex to the mat. He stands her up and then gives her a vertical suplex back to the mat. Greyson then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Helena. Ricky Simms - Close call for Helena there. Henry Lesher - No one really cares. Greyson stands Helena up, whips her off the ropes and drops his head for a backdrop. She kicks him in the face and he then ducks a clothesline attempt, picks her up and gives her a fall away slam to the mat. Greyson then stands over Helena for a moment and signals to the crowd that he is ready to end this. Shelia grabs a chair at ringside, rolls herself into the ring and clubs Greyson across the back with it which causes the referee to call for the bell. Greyson is on his hands and knees from the chair shot as Shelia rolls Helena out of the ring to the floor and grabs the microphone from ring announcer Kathy Smith. Shelia Lavin - Helena is still unpinned since her return to the CWA. Let this be a warning to everyone watching. We will rule this ring very soon.
Shelia and Helena make their way up the ramp, Shelia still
holding the chair as they make their way to the stage and then
disappear backstage. Greyson Blaze is still in the ring after his
match and grabs a mic… Ricky Simms - Looks like Greyson is ready to wrestle again here. Henry Lesher - He's not bright. He takes a wicked chair shot to the back and decides to fight again thirty seconds later. This guy's another Max Cameron. Greyson stands Shadow up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick to the mat. Greyson then goes to the corner buckle and makes his way to the top while the fans cheer him on. Greyson then leaps and lands a flying body press on Shadow and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shadow. Greyson then stands Shadow up, whips him into the corner and then goes for a clothesline on Shadow, but Shadow ducks his head and spears Greyson to the mat. Shadow then rolls Greyson out of the ring to the floor and follows closely behind. Shadow rams Greyson's face into the ring steps and then gives him a brainbuster on the floor before he stands him up and rolls him into the ring and then does the same himself. He then sits Greyson up before applying the Narcolepsy on him. The crowd boos and starts a chant for Greyson, but he's fading fast. The referee raises the arm of Greyson once, then again and then a third time which causes the referee to call for the bell. Ricky Simms - I hate to admit you were right, but Greyson wasn't in top form there. Henry Lesher - Add to that the fact that Shadow is going to be champ tonight. He's a beast. Shadow looks
down on Greyson. Ray Dees - Laura... Candy - Candy. Ray Dees - You certainly are. Okay, so we'll use the nickname for you. Tonight you and Lace were set to make your in ring debut against Total Darkness. Candy - And they totally didn't show. Thus, we need someone to fight next week. Ray Dees - So, you're here to make a challenge? Candy - There is a simple challenge really. Candy teams with Night Dweller next week in an open challenge. Ray Dees - Night Dweller? Candy - He's in with us now. He's seen that Dark Forces are best served by aligning with Anarchy. Besides, most of the people watching this don't know or care about CWA history. Ray Dees - Fair enough. So, an open challenge? Candy - Well, I look at the CWA title histories and I see that Sex and Violence held the tag titles for some time. It's a shame they had little of either in their time as champs. Maybe that name would be better bestowed on myself and Night Dweller. Ray Dees - How does your brother feel about you teaming with his nemesis? Candy - I didn't ask him. I don't need permission. If he had cared, he should have cared six months ago. I am on the path to greatness Ray and I feel Anarchy will possess the tag team titles very soon. Ray
Dees - It should be interesting to see who accepts this challenge. "Engine No. 9" by Deftones plays as Hammer comes out to a solid ovation from the crowd. He makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and high fives fans at ringside before he pulls himself onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. His music then fades and we see Eli's video on the big screen. http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/15/648798/eliintrovid_0001.wmv Eli makes his way onto the stage and then quickly makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He stops at ringside and then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. They then both looks around the ring and appear a little confused. Ricky Simms - There is no referee for this match. Henry Lesher - Ring the bell anyway and let them beat each other to death. "Stem" by Crossbreed plays again tonight as Shadow makes his way onto the stage, dressed as a referee. He runs down the ramp to the ring and slides under the bottom rope before jumping to his feet and calling for the bell. Both Eli and Hammer ready themselves to punch him out, but he shows them the referee's shirt and reminds them that this is his show tonight. Ricky Simms - The power has gone to Shadow's head here. Henry Lesher - This is great. Hammer and Eli are these great heroes and now they have to beat the hell out of each other or get fined by tonight's boss. Eli and Hammer reluctantly lock up and Hammer pushes Eli to the ropes and then gives him a knee to the gut before whipping him into the corner buckle and then gives him a hip toss to the middle of the ring where he applies a hammerlock on Eli. The referee checks for a submission by Eli and seems ready to call for the bell when Hammer releases the hold. He has words with the referee regarding the fact that Eli hasn't submitted and the fans begin to boo the lack of wrestling action in this one. Ricky Simms - Hammer really wants to drop Shadow here. Henry Lesher - I am sure they both do, but if that happens, they are screwed. Eli has words with the referee as well and Shadow reminds them once again that he is in charge of this match as well as the entire show tonight. He backs away from Hammer and Eli who once again lock up. This time, Eli kicks Hammer in the gut and then whips him off the ropes before giving him a backdrop to the mat. Eli then lands a knee drop to the forehead on Hammer and then pulls him to the middle of the ring where he quickly applies a Boston Crab on Hammer. Shadow again appears ready to call for the bell and this time Eli releases the hold. The crowd is booing loudly now and a "Bullshit" chant can be heard loudly. Ricky Simms - This is garbage. Shadow won't let them settle it properly. Henry Lesher - Who do they complain to? Eternity? Gary Barber? JC Michaels? They are screwed. Eli has words
with the referee as regular CWA referee Steve Blake makes his way
down the ramp towards the ring, drawing cheers from the fans. Blake
rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring, gets to his feet
and he starts to have words with Shadow, stating this is his match
to work. Shadow shoves Blake backwards and Blake seems stunned that
he was shoved. Blake then signals that he is throwing Shadow out of
the ring. Shadow answers this by giving Steve Blake a vicious
clothesline to the mat. Eli and Hammer stand side by side, look at
one another and shrug. They then both start beating down Shadow who
quickly ducks and rolls himself out to the floor. he calls for the
bell and says he is throwing this match out. Hammer drops and heads
out to the floor and chases Shadow up the ramp towards the backstage
area while Eli stands in the middle of the ring and shakes his head.
Hammer is caught as he tries to head backstage by a vicious
clothesline from an unseen JC Michaels who then steps onto the stage
with Gary Barber and they put the boots to Hammer while Eli charges
from the ring to try and even the odds. JC and Barber vacate the
area before Eli can get there and Eli chases them into the backstage
area. Joe Davidson - Quite the night with the EVC, isn't it? Eli Ryder - They put me out of work! Now, they won't let me work! I have a match with a legend in this business and Shadow has to screw around. Joe Davidson - You've been the topic of conversation with your recent comments about this company. Eli Ryder - It's run by idiots. That's pretty obvious considering what happened tonight. The thing is, I know something that they don't know. Joe Davidson - Which is? Eli Ryder - I am a champion. I will get to the top again. It will take more than those bastards to stop me from getting what I deserve. Moose, I know you're watching. I know you're a target of pretty near everyone right now. I also know I have a rematch clause I can use and I will use it when the time is right. Joe Davidson - So you could use it tonight then. Eli Ryder - With the Stooges in charge? Not bloody likely, Joe. No, I'll take them down soon enough, though. Eli Ryder will be the main event once again. He heads off, the crow bar still in his hands. Ricky Simms - I wonder if we'll see him again tonight. Henry
Lesher - Who does he think he is? "Switch 625" by Def Leppard plays as Hoshi Yakamoto makes her way onto the stage where the crowd gives her a standing ovation. She then runs down the ramp to ringside and high fives fans as she makes a lap around the ring before she jumps onto the ring apron and then leaps over the top rope into the ring. She then tests the ropes while her music fades and we hear "Halls of Fear" by Nino Rota as Sal's entrance video plays on the big screen. http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/15/648798/salintrovid.wmv Sal comes out to a more mixed reaction form the crowd as he is facing one of the most popular wrestlers in the CWA tonight. Sal makes his way down the ramp towards the ring with Cassandra close behind, the briefcase in hand as they reach ringside. Sal then pulls himself onto the apron before stepping through the ropes into the ring. Ricky Simms - The first of four quarter final matches in the Old School title tournament here. Henry Lesher - Well, Sal is going to crush this Asian idiot and make me happy. Referee Rob Rai calls for the bell as Sal and Hoshi stand in the middle of the ring. Sal smirks towards Hoshi. She responds with a standing dropkick which sends Sal to the mat. She then gives him another standing dropkick, right to the chest before he can get up and then she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sal. Hoshi then stands Sal up, whips him off the ropes and she gives him a hand spring into a headscissors that brings him down to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the corner buckle and jumps to the top rope. Sal gets to his feet and she goes for a flying dropkick. Instead, Sal catches her feet and airplane spins her around a few times before he lets go of her feet and she spins to the mat. Sal then puts the boots to her. Ricky Simms Hoshi got the fast start, but Sal is taking control of this one. Henry Lesher - Of course he is. It's Sal. Sal boot chokes Hoshi, his hands on the ropes for added leverage while we see Cassandra at ringside with the briefcase. Sal releases the choke before the referee reaches a five count, stands Hoshi up and whips her off the ropes before giving her a dropkick back to the mat. Sal then headlocks her and gives her a bulldog to the mat and then rolls her over for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Sal stands Hoshi up and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. She crashes into the guard railing while Sal drops and rolls himself out after her. Hoshi gets to her feet and ducks a wild right from Sal and gives him a spear into the ring apron. Hoshi then gives Sal a drop toe hold face first to the floor. Hoshi then gets to her feet and rolls herself into the ring while a stunned Sal slowly get up as well. Ricky Simms - Sal is going to be ticked off now. Hoshi will wish she stayed on him. Henry Lesher - Hey, she'd better be a good swimmer, because he's going to throw her in a river. Sal pulls himself onto the ring apron and takes a dropkick to the chest from Hoshi which sends him back to the floor. Hoshi then goes to the corner buckle and makes her way to the top while a dazed Sal again gets to his feet on the floor. Hoshi leaps off the top and Sal catches her as he did earlier, by the feet and he gives her a wicked looking power bomb to the floor. Sal then stands over her and shakes his head before he stands her up and rolls her into the ring, following her in and then going for the pin. 1...2... Hoshi gets a foot on the bottom rope. Ricky Simms - Wow, she got out of that? Henry Lesher - Now she's going into the river while inside the locked trunk of a car. Keep making it worse, Hoshi. Sal stands Hoshi up and whips her into the corner buckle and then he gives her a cradle suplex to the middle of the ring, holding her shoulders down for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Sal shakes his head as he stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and then gives Sal a backslide into a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Sal who quickly gets to his feet. He headlocks Hoshi and goes for a bulldog, but she shoves him into the corner buckle. He turns and gives her a superkick to the jaw which sends her down to the mat and he jumps to the top rope. Sal then lands the Contract Heat on Hoshi and then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Sal Clemenzo wins the match and rolls himself out to the floor where Cassandra hugs him. Ricky Simms - Big win and Sal moves on. Henry Lesher - Toe tag Hoshi, she is done. Sal holds the
briefcase high and starts to make his way up the ramp while we look
backstage. Neriah Sweet - Max, last week you defeated Leech only to be attacked by BasketKase. Your thoughts? Max Cameron - I thought I had tasted some nasty things in my life, but dead cat beats them all. Neriah Sweet - Tonight you face Daniel McCoy inside the ring. Your thoughts on tonight's match up? Max Cameron - It's the CWA Old School title. Daniel McCoy isn't exactly old school and I have been a part of this company for many years now. Tonight, I will get him pinned for the three count and I will make Henry Lesher admit I am the greatest wrestler he has ever seen. Neriah Sweet - But last week, when you tried to make him say it, BasketKase attacked you. Max Cameron - I am going to make that old man live up to his end of the bargain. It will happen. Neriah Sweet - Max, you need to stay focused on your match though. Max Cameron - Oh I am focused. The old man will admit it. I beat Leech and he said he would admit it. Max wanders off mumbling to himself while Neriah looks concerned and a little frightened at the same time. Henry Lesher - He's a loser. Ricky Simms - Not this again. "Firefly" by Breaking Benjamin plays as Daniel McCoy comes out onto the stage to loud boos from the crowd. He stands on stage for a few moments and then makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He then makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He then tests the ropes while his music fades and then we hear "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC and we see Max Cameron's entrance video on the big screen. http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/15/648798/maxintrovid.wmv Max then comes out onto the stage wearing a T-shirt which says "Henry Lesher's Favorite Wrestler" and it has his name on the back of it. He makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and looks into the ring at McCoy, shaking his head. He then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Mark Davis calls for the bell to get the match started. Ricky Simms - This should be quite the match. Henry Lesher - I am suing him for my name being on his shirt. He just wants to make money on my name because his name sucks as much as he does. Max and McCoy lock up in the middle of the ring. Max backs McCoy into the corner buckle and then backs away when asked by the referee. McCoy then eye gouges Max and gives him a series of rights and lefts that drive him to the middle of the ring where he then levels Max with a clothesline. McCoy then leg drops Max across the throat and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Max. Daniel McCoy then stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and then backdrops him to the mat. McCoy then gives Max an elbow smash to the throat and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Max. McCoy then stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and Max ducks a clothesline before giving McCoy a gutwrench suplex to the mat. Max then picks Daniel McCoy up over his shoulder and runs him face first into the corner buckle before giving him a power slam to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by McCoy. Ricky Simms - Max is in control of the match right now. You going to autograph that shirt? Henry Lesher - Right after I make him eat it. Max stands McCoy up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a series of shoulder blocks in the corner while the crowd cheers him on. Max then gives McCoy a double under hook suplex to the mat and then goes for the pin again. 1...2... once again McCoy kicks out in time. Max then stands Daniel McCoy up and whips him out to the floor in front of the announce table. Max then drops and rolls himself out to the floor where he then grabs McCoy by the hair and then slams his head into the announce table while taunting Lesher. Max Cameron - Who's the greatest, Lesher? Henry Lesher - I can't hear you over the roar of your lousy wrestling. Max Cameron - You will bow to me, Lesher. Henry Lesher - Only over your grave, Max. Max's distraction has allowed Daniel McCoy to compose himself and he kicks max in the gut before slamming his head into the announce table. McCoy then rolls Max into the ring before doing the same himself. Daniel McCoy then stands Max up and whips him off the ropes before giving him a spinning heel kick which sends him back down to the mat. Daniel McCoy then goes to the corner buckle and quickly makes his way to the top rope. He then dives off, going for a flying elbow smash, but Max rolls out of the way and then jumps to his feet. Max then headlocks Daniel McCoy and then gives him a vertical suplex to the mat, stands him up and gives him another and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by McCoy. Max then gets to his feet and says something towards Henry Lesher again. McCoy gives Max a kick to the back of the head and then gives him an inverted DDT before going for the pin with his feet on the ropes out of sight of the referee. 1...2...3! Daniel McCoy gets a questionable win over Max Cameron. Henry Lesher - Max sucks. Ricky Simms - Where are you going? Henry Lesher gets up from the broadcast desk and makes his way under the bottom rope into the ring, a microphone in hand. He stands with his back against the ropes while Max stirs in the middle of the ring, McCoy celebrating as he heads to the back. Henry Lesher - Look what we have here. Max Cameron lost! You see this, Max? *holds up a picture of a title belt* This is as close as you're going to get to being a champion in the CWA. *throws the picture at Max* Max, you're a loser and you'll never get me to bow down to you except in that twisted mind of yours. Lesher turns and starts to leave the ring, but Max rolls over and grabs his ankle. Henry Lesher - Let me go, you miscreant! Max pulls Lesher to him and then gets to his feet. Max Cameron - You will tell me what I want to hear. He grabs Lesher by the throat and starts to choke him. Henry Lesher - *while coughing and gagging* Max Cameron is.... Max is.... Max is.... BasketKase slips into the ring behind Max and pulls him away from Lesher and then picks him up and gives him a power bomb in the corner buckle. BasketKase then looks skyward and yells "MEAT!!!" at the top of his lungs which is echoed by the crowd. Security rushes into the ring while Lesher exits the ring. He fixes his tie before putting his headset back on and sitting down behind the desk. Henry Lesher - Max is an idiot. Ricky Simms - You must be the luckiest man alive. While
security fights to hold BasketKase back and medics check on Max, we
head backstage. Gary Barber - You shouldn't leave this where just anyone can pick it up. Moose - Why not? You couldn't take it. You think your boy Shadow has a chance of getting it? Gary Barber - He has more than a chance. He's the odds on favorite. Moose - You guys really don't pay any attention to the rest of the roster, do you? He's not taking my belt. Gary Barber - Well, if he fails, you're defending it next week against the man in charge. Moose - And who would that be? Gary Barber - Next week, Eternity is the man in charge. He's next in line for your little belt here unless Shadow wins it. If he does, then you will watch as Shadow and Eternity battle it out. Moose - *smirks* Yeah, keep dreaming there Barber. *pulls title belt away from Gary Barber* Now, get out of my dressing room or your head is going through something solid. Gary tosses the belt to Moose while shaking his head. Gary Barber - Keep talking big, Moose. It makes it all the sweeter when Shadow takes you down tonight and brings that title to the EVC. It'll be kept company with our newly won tag team titles.
Gary leaves while Moose glares in his general direction. "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace plays and Rated R comes out to loud boos from the crowd. He feigns hurt with their reaction and then smirks as he makes his way down the ramp. He spots a kid in the front row holding up a sign that says "Myst's #1 Fan." Rated R grabs the sign from the fan and tears it to pieces and then starts arguing with the kid's father while the little boy starts to cry. We then hear "A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park as Myst comes out onto the stage and the crowd cheers as she rushes down the ramp to where Rated R has the crying boy's father by the throat. Myst rams Rated R's head into the guard railing and then she gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the floor. Ricky Simms - These two and renewing an old feud tonight. Henry Lesher - Which Rated R will wind up on top of. He always winds up on top. Myst stands Rated R up and whips him shoulder first into the steel corner post. Myst then whips him face first into the steel guard railing before she rolls him into the ring and then does the same herself. Referee Casey Braun calls for the bell to start the match officially. Myst goes for the quick pin on Rated R. 1...2... kick out by Rated R. Myst then places Rated R's throat over the bottom rope and chokes him with it. The referee threatens to disqualify Myst and she releases the hold for a moment before she starts choking him again. Ricky Simms - I get the feeling Myst has something to prove tonight. Henry Lesher - Months of pushing papers have caused her to snap. Myst releases the choke and finally stands Rated R up. She then whips him off the ropes and gives him a lariat to the mat. Myst then goes for a lionsault onto Rated R, but he rolls out of the way and she hits the mat instead. Rated R then uses the ropes to get to his feet while he catches his breath. He then places Myst in a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring. The referee checks for a submission, but the CWA owner refuses to give up as she reaches for the ropes. The referee checks the arm of Myst and she manages to keep it elevated and then she gives Rated R a series of elbows to the ribs while she slowly pulls herself closer to the ropes. The crowd starts to chant her name as she reaches the ropes, grabbing the top rope which forces the break. Ricky Simms - Myst is showing a lot of fight in this one, which is standard for her. Henry Lesher - Myst is almost respectable. Rated R rakes the eyes of Myst along the top rope and then gives her a snap mare to the mat where he applies a side headlock. Myst gets to her feet and whips Rated R off the ropes. Rated R then shoulder blocks Myst to the mat and then gives her a leg drop across the chest. Rated R then picks Myst up and slams her to the mat and then he goes to the corner buckle and climbs to the second rope. He leaps off and lands a double axe handle smash to the back of Myst which draws boos from the crowd. Rated R then sets Myst for a power bomb. Instead, she stands and gives Rated R a backdrop to the mat. She then goes to the corner and makes her way to the top. Rated R stands and takes a flying double axe handle smash to the forehead which causes him to fall to the mat where Myst goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rated R who rolls Myst into a small package. 1...2... kick out by Myst. Ricky Simms - Rated R figured turn about was fair play and almost got the win there. Henry Lesher - He is head and shoulders above Myst. Everyone knows that. Rated R rolls himself out of the ring to the floor and signals to the referee for a timeout. He then starts to make his way up the ramp and signals that he is done for the night. Myst rolls herself out to the floor and chases after Rated R. She grabs him by the shoulder, spins him around and takes a vicious clothesline to the ramp from Rated R who smiles as he stands over her. Rated R then drags Myst by the hair to the ring and then rolls her into the ring before he rolls himself in. He stands over her and then puts the boots to her while the crowd boos him even louder. He mocks the crowd as if he cannot hear them and then stands on Myst's chest with a hand to his ear. He steps off before the referee reaches a five count and then he stands her up and whips her off the ropes, giving her a dropkick that sends her back down to the mat. Ricky Simms - The crowd is really letting Rated R have it, but he is in full control here. Henry Lesher - Of course he is. Rated R stands Myst up. He then picks her up over his shoulder. She slips off and gives Rated R a knee to the back, turns him around and then drops to the mat, giving him a knee to the head in what appears to be an inverted GTS. Rated R falls to the mat and Myst goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Myst gets the win over Rated R and moves on to the semi-finals! Ricky Simms - Myst calls that the MTS or Myst To Sleep. Henry Lesher - She should call it horse shoes in her a... Ricky Simms - Doc! Myst exits the ring
and starts to make her way up the ramp while the referee checks on
the still out cold Rated R. Wyatt Gibson - Hey, Shadow. Shadow - We went over this before, didn't we? The EVC run the show, we don't need you. Wyatt Gibson - I just thought maybe you guys could use my help. Shadow - No, see, unlike the rest of this roster, we don't need your help. I am going to become the champ tonight and my buddies are going to become the tag champs. Wyatt Gibson - But, we have a situation here that a GM needs to deal with. Shadow - I am sure it's no big deal. I... Wyatt is shoves out of the doorway and down to the floor by Malk. Malk - You the man in charge? Shadow - Yes, what the hell do you want? Malk - 6Pac Dudley. Shadow - You thought you would find him in my office? Malk - I am supposed to fight him tonight in the Old School title tournament. Shadow - He isn't here, Malk. You move on by forfeit. Good for you. Malk - No, I am going to beat him. Shadow - Then go to Hamilton and make your way door to door seeking him. I don't give a damn. Malk - I guess maybe it's time for Malk to step it up. Malk charges out and Wyatt gets to his feet while Shadow looks a little bewildered. Shadow - Did he just
refer to himself in the third person? "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry plays as Tommy Purr and Jack Spade make their way onto the stage with the tag titles raised high above their heads. The tag champs then make their way down the ramp, discussing strategy for tonight's handicap match for the titles. Paparazzi snaps shots of the tag champs and then, seemingly out of nowhere, Daniel McCoy attacks Tommy with a camera. McCoy gives Jack Spade a kick to the gut for good measure and then continues to beat Tommy down with the camera while the fans boo. Their boos become cheers when they see Malk rushing out and attacking Daniel McCoy, tackling him down and then brawling on the stage and right off the edge of the stage to the floor where security rushes out to break them up. Ricky Simms - What the hell was that? Henry Lesher - McCoy targets Tommy and that idiot Malk figured it was a good time to make a save. Tommy doesn't need saving. The tag champs get to their feet and compose themselves before they continue their march down the ramp towards the ring. It's Purr who then rolls himself into the ring while Spade takes his place in their corner. The crowd cheers for them, but those cheers quickly change to boos when "Hollow Man" by The Hollow Men plays and we see Eternity, JC Michaels and Gary Barber making their way down the ramp towards the ring. The three EVC members then stop at the foot of the ramp and debate who will start the match. JC pulls himself onto the apron and smiles at Tommy before he steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake then calls for the bell as Eternity and Gary Barber take their place in the corner. JC admonishes Blake, telling him they weren't ready yet. Ricky Simms - Steve Blake's having a long night here. Henry Lesher - He still gets a paycheck. Stop your whining. JC shakes his head and moves in to lock up with Tommy. Tommy knees JC in the gut and then gives him a hip toss to the mat before he then gives him an atomic drop. JC quickly retreats to his corner and signals a timeout. Tommy stays in the middle of the ring, motioning JC to him. JC moves in and takes a drop toe hold to the mat from Tommy who then goes for an STF as the crowd cheers. JC scrambles to the ropes and then pulls himself out to the floor. He paces on the floor, not impressed by the start of this match while Tommy is the one smiling now. JC pulls himself onto the apron and then starts arguing with Jack Spade. JC steps through the ropes into the ring and then catches rights and lefts from Tommy. JC answers by whipping Tommy into his corner where he takes a series of rights from Eternity and then Gary Barber gives him a thumb in the eye. Purr staggers out of the corner and takes a spear to the mat from JC who then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy. Ricky Simms - It's a case of three against two just not being fair. Henry Lesher - The EVC has crushed the so-called Divine Intervention to this point, so why stop now? JC stands Tommy up and pulls him to his corner. He tags in Gary Barber. Barber and JC then gives Tommy a double vertical suplex to the mat and Barber goes for the pin while JC exits the ring. 1...2... kick out by Tommy. Barber then stands Tommy up, whips him into a neutral corner and then gives him a series of shoulder blocks in the corner. Gary Barber then whips Tommy to the opposite corner and then misses with a shoulder block there as Tommy side steps it and then gives Barber a belly yo belly overhead suplex out of the corner. Both men lie on the mat while Spade shouts for the tag. The referee starts counting them both down, but Barber is quickly on his feet as Tommy starts to reach for the tag. Barber pulls Tommy away from his corner and tags in Eternity. Ricky Simms - Tommy really has to get out of there. Henry Lesher - But his partner sucks. This is where everything has gone wrong for him. Eternity and Gary Barber stand Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a double shoulder block to the mat and then a double leg drop, Gary over the throat and Eternity over the chest. Eternity goes for the pin while Barber vacates the ring. 1...2... Tommy rolls a shoulder out as the fans start chanting his name. Eternity stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and Tommy ducks a clothesline and then gives Eternity a knee to the ribs and then a bulldog to the mat before he rolls to his corner where he tags in Jack Spade. Ricky Simms - Tommy tags in the fresh wrestler. Henry Lesher - The sad part is that it's Jack Spade. Spade enters the ring and clotheslines Eternity and then goes to the EVC corner and rakes the eyes of JC before he gives Gary Barber a clothesline off the apron. Spade then goes to Eternity, picks him up and slams him to the mat before giving him a knee drop to the forehead. He then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eternity. Jack Spade stands Eternity up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. He then sees JC stepping into the ring and gives him a dropkick that sends him right through the ropes and out to the floor. Spade then takes a thumb to the eye from Gary Barber. Spade staggers back and takes a knee to the spine from a now standing Eternity who then picks Spade up and gives him an electric chair to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... Spade kicks out. Ricky Simms - Spade is trying to take them all out at once, knowing damned well they don't play fair. Henry Lesher - Oh, give me a break. Play fair? Eternity stands Jack Spade up, whips him into his corner and he takes a right to the jaw from Barber while Eternity tags in JC Michaels. JC steps through the ropes into the ring as Jack Spade turns and levels Eternity with a clothesline. Spade still thinks Eternity is the legal man, standing him up and whipping him off the ropes before giving him a clothesline to the mat. JC then rolls Jack Spade into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2...3! Ricky Simms - The numbers caught up with Spade there and we have new tag team champions. Henry Lesher - It's excellent. They can choose who defends the titles now out of the four of them. The Freebirds were never this good. Ricky Simms - I would disagree with that. Henry Lesher - Of course you would. You're an idiot. JC, Barber and Eternity exit the ring and grab the tag title belts from the timekeeper and start to make their way up the ramp. They shake their heads and say they have only started to ruin Tommy's career. Ricky Simms - Who can stop the EVC? Henry Lesher - I could, but I am
busy, so no one then. Joe Davidson - You? You left me the message to meet you out here? Craven nods. Craven Broderick - You see, the CWA needs me. Joe Davidson - We hear that from a lot of people. Craven Broderick - No, it needs me Joe. It needs a handsome, straight forward man to lead this company throughout 2009 and into the future. Joe Davidson - Handsome? Craven Broderick - Yes I am. Joe Davidson - Are you sure? Craven Broderick - Are you denying my handsomeness Joe? Is that what's happening here? Joe cowers a little. Joe Davidson - No, Craven, I am doing no such thing. I am sure everyone will be glad to have you back. Craven Broderick - You know who will be really happy to see me back? Gerard Angelo will. He gets to face me next week, one on one. Maybe I'll take it easy on him. Maybe I won't. Tune in and find out. Joe Davidson - I will. Craven Broderick - You had better. Don't let me find out you weren't watching.
Craven smiles and walks away while Joe breathes a sigh of relief. "Stem" by Crossbreed plays once again tonight as Shadow comes out onto the stage and again hears the boos of the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He has his son Greyson following behind him, dressed as a butler. He shouts orders at Greyson to stand at ringside and make certain he walks out of tonight's main event as the champ. He then steps up onto the apron and poses there for the fans, who boo even louder. Greyson is seen shaking his head at ringside while his father steps through the ropes into the ring. His music fades and we then hear "Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits and The Moose comes out onto the stage with the CWA title over his shoulder. The crowd starts chanting his name as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He hands the title belt to the timekeeper and then pulls himself onto the apron where Shadow tries the pre-emptive attack. Moose ducks a clothesline attempt and shoulder blocks Shadow through the ropes before he steps into the ring and referee Mark Davis calls for the bell to get the action started. Ricky Simms - Now that they have the tag titles, the deck appears to be further stacked by Shadow in his title match tonight. I cannot believe what he is doing to his own son. Henry Lesher - He's ungrateful. Shadow is putting him in his place. How dare he win a title before his own father? Moose whips Shadow off the ropes and gives him a shoulder block down to the mat and then he picks Shadow up and drops him on the top rope, his throat landing right across it and then sending him falling backward to the mat. Moose then puts the boots to his challenger while Greyson paces on the floor. He is clearly conflicted about what he has to do here tonight. Moose stands Shadow up, rakes his eyes along the top rope and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the mat. Moose goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shadow. Moose then stands him up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a hip toss to the middle of the ring. Moose then applies a sleeper hold on Shadow. Shadow answers that with a snap mare to break the hold and then places Moose in a full Nelson. Ricky Simms - Good pace to the start of this one, both men really going for it. Henry Lesher - What did you expect them to do, riverdance? Moose refuses to submit when asked by the referee and reaches for the ropes. Shadow tries to strengthen his hold on Moose. Moose starts to try lowering his arms and powering out of the move. He manages to break Shadow's lock on him and then lowers his head for a moment before snapping it back, the back of his head hitting Shadow right between the eyes and dazing him enough to release the hold. Moose then whips Shadow out through the ropes to the floor. Moose then waits for Shadow to stand before he lands a suicide dive through the ropes onto the challenger. Moose then stands Shadow up only to take a jawbreaker from Shadow who then whips Moose shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Shadow follows that up with a pump handle slam on the floor to Moose. He stands over the champ and smirks. Ricky Simms - Just like that, Shadow is in control. Henry Lesher - He is worthy of this title shot. I don't care what anyone thinks. Any member of the EVC would make a fine champion in the CWA. Shadow stands Moose up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. He then stands Moose up, whips him into the corner and then gives him a shoulder block before setting him on the top rope. Shadow then climbs to the top rope and then gives Moose The Overdose to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Moose rolls a shoulder out. Shadow slaps the mat and has words with the referee about the speed of the count while the fans start chanting for Moose again. Shadow then dumps Moose through the ropes and out to the floor, then nods towards his son. Greyson takes a step towards the fallen Moose as Shadow starts arguing with the referee. Ricky Simms - Shadow is really making everyone hate him tonight. Henry Lesher - Hey, he beat Greyson and now he has to do what he's told. The EVC are getting the gold, winning slaves and I imagine they'll be greeting a few groupies before the night is out. Greyson takes another step towards Moose, but he is slow moving and the referee catches sight of him and orders him away from Moose. Shadow yells at his son while the referee orders Greyson away from the ring and the fans cheer. We then see Sal Clemenzo rolling into the ring behind Shadow. He drills Shadow across the back of the head with the briefcase and then slams him in the face with it before he leaves the ring. The referee turns back and sees Shadow out cold, leaving him scratching his head. Henry Lesher - Yeah, you missed that Magoo. Ricky Simms - You always say turnabout is fair play. Moose rolls himself into the ring and sees that Shadow is downed. Moose doesn't care why and picks Shadow up, pauses and then gives him a Moosedriver to the mat. Moose goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Moose retains and we see Sal between aisles of fans with a microphone in hand. Sal Clemenzo - Your winner and still CWA champion, Moose! Moose, you're the man I want to face for that title. In all of our years working for this company, it's been mutual respect and I will face you for that title very soon. Until then, I will protect my title shot. Moose is handed the title and he watches as Sal exits the arena. Ricky Simms - What will the EVC do next week when Eternity gets a title shot? Henry Lesher - Wow, EVC versus Sal. He just came up on their radar in a big way. I don't know how they can stop a man like Sal. Of course, I don't know how you stop the EVC. Ricky Simms - We just saw it. You stop them with a briefcase. Lesher sighs and we fade to black on a concerned Moose looking at his title and then down at a still out cold Shadow. |
