June 20th, 2010 Shannon Skanes - Okay, cut the damned music. This isn't about being showy right now. It's about the show itself. The music cuts out and the crowd has a mixed reaction to this. Shannon Skanes - *scratching his head* So, here we are, two weeks from Sunstroke. Here we are building to the biggest event in the CWA since Battle of the Warriors and what's happening? Wyatt's signings have been letting me down and letting the fans down. I want to call Bullrush out here. "Bulls On Parade" by Rage Against the Machine plays as the crowd then cheers, anticipating the arrival of the man who has two CWA titles to his credit. The music plays while Shannon goes to the corner buckle and climbs to the second rope. He looks to the stage, shielding his eyes from the overhead lights so he can better focus on the arrival of the champ. The crowd's reaction becomes more and more muted with each passing moment of the music. Shannon then makes a cut motion and jumps down. Shannon Skanes - The CWA champ thought so much of his Vivid-Gore Title, he didn't show up. You know what? He has a match against Effing Legendary Holmes for the title next week. Let's bring him out now. "Cowboys From Hell" by Pantera plays and the crowd has a mixed reaction again as they anticipate the arrival of Legendary to the show. Shannon again climbs to the second rope and looks to the stage. He then smacks himself in the head and takes a seat on the top rope. Shannon Skanes - Cut his music. I forgot. He didn't show up either. Now, as a result of that no show, Moose gets a spot in the World Title match at Sunstroke completing a four corners match with First Degree. Hey, he actually showed up tonight! Let's all give him a huge round of applause! Shannon jumps off the top rope to the mat while Bruce and Max now slip into the ring and are again flanking him soon after. Shannon is again scratching his head and lets out an audible sigh. Shannon Skanes - See, this is the problem. I pay the money to these guys and Max here signs contracts and this is what we get. Now, there is hope. There is hope in something we are going to do tonight. See, you fans deserve to see fights that involve blood, battles that actually involve hatred and not indifference. Warriors has been the home to these battles for a very long time, tracing its lineage back to 1984. I'll let Bruce explain. Bruce Miller - *taking the microphone from Shannon* See, financially this company has to do something to change things up. If the top guys don't feel like showing up, there has to be something done about it. The guys on Warriors are more than happy to steal the spotlight. I can say this since I am one of those guys. To the men and women who showed up tonight, get ready for a great show. For the guys who didn't show up, Max here will be evaluating your contracts and we may just have to start paying per appearance. Max Cameron - *as he grabs the microphone* See, I signed a new member of the roster this week and he is going to make an impression. It is going to start tonight as we set up what I intend to see as the greatest CWA event ever. I don't care what we have to do, even if it means Shannon and I are actually allies here. The three leaders of the company then leave as "Deep" by Nine Inch Nails plays again and they make their way up the ramp to the stage area. Ricky Simms - Well, I guess Warriors guys will be on Assault now? Henry Lesher - The company is circling the drain. Who can blame Holmes and Mohr for quitting? The CWA has been gutted and it's about time it was put out of its misery. We then look backstage and see Frank Merritt entering the building only to be headed off by Ray Dees. Ray Dees - Frank? I cannot believe you're here. You're back. This is amazing. I almost had to wrestle on Warriors last week and then didn't. It was so scary, but it was cool too. Now, did you hear what Shannon, Bruce and Max said in the ring there? Frank Merritt - *slowly stops and turns to face Ray* Max? Ray Dees - He's the GM here and signed some new guy. Frank Merritt - Max is the GM? *smirks* The CWA is in worse shape than I thought. Ray Dees - Why are you here tonight? Frank Merritt - I have a meeting tonight. Ray Dees - With who? Frank Merritt - That's none of your business Ray. Ray Dees - Can you give me a hint? Frank Merritt - Sure. Frank kicks Ray in the gut and then gives him a power bomb to the floor before kneeling next to Ray with a twisted smile on his face. Frank Merritt - There's a hint that when I tell you it's none of your business, you need to go the hell away. Frank then leaves a broken Ray in the middle of
the hallway and we head back to the ring. Ricky Simms - What is the daughter of Tony Parizi up to? Henry Lesher - About forty losses in a row? I'd imagine this will be a loss at well. Hoshi climbs onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. The referee asks Lydia if she's ready and Lydia nods sloqly. The bell sounds and Hoshi moves towards Lydia. Lydia looks away from Hoshi and then slowly removes her sunglasses. She tosses them out into the crowd and then she turns back to glare at Hoshi. Hoshi takes another step towards Lydia. Lydia then headbutts Hoshi backwards and then reaches into the pocket of her coat and draws out a set of brass knuckles. Kira sees this and slips under the bottom rope into the ring. Ricky Simms - What the hell is wrong with Lydia? Henry Lesher - She hates everyone, so that might be part of the problem. Lydia greets Kira with a shot to the side of the head with the brass knuckles and this draws boos from the crowd. She then takes a superkick to the chin from Hoshi that sends her down to the mat. Hoshi then starts raining punches down on Lydia which causes the fans to cheer. Hoshi stands Lydia up, whips her off the ropes and clotheslines her to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the ropes and climbs to the top. She poses for the fans and goes for a five star frog splash. Lydia sees her coming and greets her with a kick to the chin. Lydia then gets to her feet and then boot chokes Hoshi. Kira gets to her feet behind Lydia, though needing the ropes to keep her balance. Kira shoves Lydia away from her sister and the referee finally gives up on this match going anywhere, calling for the bell. Ricky Simms - Mary Sanderson sees that this is out of control. Henry Lesher - Well, two Yakamotos cannot beat one Parizi. We have seen that here. Lydia turns her attention to Kira and shakes her head at her. She then carefully unbuttons her trench coat, removes it and we see that she's wearing a black string bikini, but on each wrist and each leg, she has daggers attached with sheaths. Kira quickly ducks and dives out of the ring with Hoshi close behind. Lydia says that this is the future and someone is going to get hurt. Ricky Simms - Is this the hardcore softcore that Lydia spoke of? Henry Lesher - I like the idea of knives being used on Hoshi or Kira. I support Lydia's violent intentions. Lydia Parizi tells the retreating Yakamoto
Sisters that she'll see them next week at Sunstroke. Kathy Smith - Tricia? Tricia Smith - I go to Vegas to represent the CWA and I get told I'm boring, that I am nothing? Kathy Smith - I told you they were bastards at RoughKut. Some people think wrestling is more about being hardcore or having a lot of words in it than actually being about the character or the wrestling match. Tricia Smith - Maybe they're right. Maybe I just don't have it. Kathy Smith - And maybe they're assholes. Tricia Smith - So what do I do then? Kathy Smith - It's about being dedicated to what we are doing here, sweetie. Scavenger declared his days of venturing outside of the CWA were over. I am doing the same. We can continue to build this almost thirty year long experience. Shannon's even talked to me about missing the old days and maybe it's time to bring the old days back. Tricia Smith - Where does that leave me? Kathy Smith - Only you can answer that. You have to decide where you belong. You can't worry about what happens anywhere else. Just focus on the here and now. Kathy hugs her sister and we return to the
ring. Ricky Simms - Well, he is called Freak for a reason. Henry Lesher - This man is everything that is right with wrestling. Freak steps up onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He then climbs to the second rope in the corner and gives the fans a smile. Scavenger then looks to the chair and nods. Freak jumps down from the ropes to be greeted with a spear to the mat from Scavenger. Scavenger then stands Freak up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Scavenger then stands Freak up, gives him a series of forearm smashes to the head and backs him into the corner where he then eye gouges Freak with the top rope. Scavenger then whips Freak through the ropes and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - Apparently Scavenger is holding a grudge from the attack two weeks ago and rightfully so. Henry Lesher - If you say so. Scavenger drops and heads out to the floor after Freak. He stands Freak up and whips him shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Scavenger then stands Freak up and rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring. Scavenger then places Freak in a reverse headlock. Freak gets to his feet and backs Scavenger into the corner where the referee asks for a clean break. Freak takes a step back and then the two of them start trading punches which draws cheers from the fans. Freak eye gouges Scavenger and then picks him up and slams him to the mat and then puts the boots to him. Ricky Simms - It's been even so far, no way to know who might win this one. Henry Lesher - I'll give you a hint. Freak will win it. Freak stands Scavenger up, whips him into the corner buckle and then lands a running clothesline on Scavenger before he places Scavenger on the top rope, facing out. He then picks Scavenger up onto his shoulders and gives him an electric chair to the mat. Freak then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Scavenger. Freak then stands Scavenger up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a dropkick as Scavenger side steps that before he then gives Freak a knee drop to the forehead. He then pulls Freak to the middle of the ring and applies a Boston Crab on Freak. The referee checks for a submission, but Freak refuses to submit. Ricky Simms - Scavenger is in the dominant spot here and Freak is just hanging on. Henry Lesher - Hey, he isn't just hanging on. He's getting ready to win. Freak reaches out towards the ropes. He pulls himself closer to the ropes while the fans are torn on who they are cheering for. Scavenger struggles to hold Freak steady, but Freak gives him an eye gouge and then grabs the middle rope to force the break. Freak gets to his feet and then Scavenger takes a swing at him. Freak ducks that swing, then backdrops Scavenger over the top rope and onto the trusty chair. The chair is bent and Scavenger lands on the floor screaming in pain and grabbing at his back. Freak rolls himself out of the ring and then rolls Scavenger into the ring before rolling himself in. He goes for the pin on Scavenger. 1...2...3! Freak gets the win over Scavenger. Ricky Simms - The chair has been destroyed! Henry Lesher - That's how crappy Scavenger is. We care more for his chair than we do for him. That sums it all up right there. Freak rolls himself out of the ring and goes to the chair while we see Scavenger's wife Lauren rushing down the ramp to ringside. Instead of checking on her husband, she goes to the chair as well. She shoves Freak aside and he recoils from her. We then see Rated R rushing down the ramp and slipping into the ring. He tells the downed Scavenger that their fight isn't over. He then picks Scavenger up and delivers the Restricted and then stands over Scavenger while the fans boo. Tricia Smith is then seen running down the ramp and slipping under the bottom rope into the ring only to take a knee to the gut from Rated R who then gives her the Restricted. He tells her that attack was boring, then slips out of the ring to the floor. Freak stands nose to nose with Ryan, but no punches are thrown. Freak then watches Rated R make his way up the ramp towards the back. Ricky Simms - What side is Freak on here? What is the deal with him right now? Henry Lesher - He's on his own side, the only
one he can trust. Maybe he really understands what Ryan is doing
here, considering the sad state of this company. Neriah Sweet - Max, in two weeks this company will experience the seven circles of hell when Sunstroke comes around again. I understand you have an announcement to make. Max Cameron - Rated R, Ryan Yorke, has a challenge ahead of him at Sunstroke. Since he saw fit to involve himself in Scavenger's business and then take out Tricia Smith, at Sunstroke he will take on Tricia Smith, Scavenger and Freak, Himself in a match of my own devising. Neriah Sweet - So not a standard four way match. Max Cameron - You see, this match will be held inside a glass chamber. The three opponents to Rated R will be in an interesting position here. Whoever pins Rated R gets a shot at the Vivid-Gore belt the Assault after Sunstroke. In the event Rated R wins the match, he earns a match with Kathy Smith the Assault after Sunstroke. Neriah Sweet - You're putting a seventeen year old inside a glass chamber? Max Cameron - She wanted this. The thing is, if Rated R manages to win, he chooses the stipulation to the Kathy Smith match. In order to make certain this match has a fair and balanced outcome, I have signed none other than Razorblade himself to call the match. Fans in the arena can be heard cheering this announcement. Neriah Sweet - But he's retired. Max Cameron - As a wrestler, yes, you're right. I am bringing him in as a referee. No one knows Rated R inside the ring better than Razor. In order to reign in the madman, we are hiring madmen. Neriah Sweet - And what about this Sporadic person? Max Cameron - I have no comment on his status within the CWA. Max walks away before she has a chance to ask
any further questions and we return to the ring. Ricky Simms - Slim really wants that Vivid-Gore Title. Henry Lesher - You mean title shot. The title isn't on the line here. Slim stands Hoshi up and runs her shoulder first into the guard railing. He then gives her a power slam to the floor before he again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Slim then stands Hoshi up and pulls her by the hair to ringside. He then pulls the ring apron up and pulls out a table. He shoves Hoshi to the floor and then sets up the table. The crowd cheers as he does so. He then pulls Hoshi over to the table and lays her on top of it. He climbs onto the ring apron and then poses for the crowd before he jumps off. Hoshi rolls out of the way and Slim's splash hits the table instead and he falls through the broken table to the floor in a heap. Ricky Simms - That didn't work well. Henry Lesher - This match makes me want to punch things. We need a real wrestler in this match. Get Frank out here. I know he's back there. Hoshi crawls over to the downed Slim and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Slim. Hoshi then pulls Slim to his feet and then gives him a whip head first into the steel corner post. Hoshi then reaches under the ring apron and pulls out the bent remnants of Scavenger's trusty chair. Hoshi drills Slim between the eyes with it and then clotheslines him to the floor with it before tossing it aside and then she goes for the pin. 1...2... Slim rolls a shoulder out and Hoshi argues the speed of the count with the referee. She then stands Slim up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same herself. She then places the throat of Slim over the bottom rope and chokes him with it. Ricky Simms - Hoshi is really looking vicious in this one, her second match of the night. Henry Lesher - Well, she can lose multiple matches at a time. That's just how Hoshi is. She loses matches to fans in the parking lot before we even start taping most weeks. Ricky Simms - Oh, stop that. Hoshi releases the choke, stands Slim up and whips him off the ropes. Hoshi then takes a shoulder block to the mat from Slim. He then lands a knee drop to the chest on Hoshi and then rains down punches to the head on her. Hoshi answers with a kick to the head from the downed position on the mat. Slim falls sideways while Hoshi manages a kip up to her feet. The fans cheer as she then gives Slim a roundhouse kick to the chin before he can get back up. Hoshi then jumps to the top rope and goes for a moonsault, but lands on raised knees to the chest from Slim. Slim then rolls himself over to the ropes and uses them to get to his feet while Hoshi tries to catch her breath. Slim then goes over to Hoshi and they start trading knife edge chops. Slim then goes for a spinebuster, but Hoshi instead jumps up and places Slim in a flying headscissors and then drags him down to the mat where she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Slim who then reverses the pin and hooks the tights. 1...2...3! Hoshi has been defeated and Slim jumps to his feet. Ricky Simms - Slim is the new champ! Henry Lesher - Look, special needs, this is NOT a title match. Slim jumps to his feet and has his arms raised in victory, but then we hear "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolph and the man known as PrimeTime steps out onto the stage. He quickly makes his way down the ramp to ringside and then steps through the ropes into the ring and the referee motions for the bell to ring again. Ricky Simms - I heard about this guy. This cocky new star is out here why? Slim just won the belt! Henry Lesher - Idiot, the belt was not on the line yet. Jake Masterson ducks a wild right from a charging Slim Pickens and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the mat and then he rolls himself out to the floor. PrimeTime then reaches under the ring and pulls out a table that he slips under the bottom rope into the ring. He slips back into the ring as a tired Slim gets to his feet. Jake takes an eye gouge from Slim. Slim then picks Masterson up and slams him to the mat and then starts setting up the table. Ricky Simms - I am not sure why this match has been restarted. This was over. Henry Lesher - A real wrestler showed up. Slim finishes setting up the table and then turns to PrimeTime and kicks him in the ribs. PrimeTime then responds with a clothesline to the mat on Slim Pickens. PrimeTime then then pulls Slim to his feet and then gives Slim a fall away slam through the table before going for the pin. 1...2...3! Jake Masterson has won the match! Ricky Simms - This is insanity. "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolph plays as we see Max Cameron coming down the ramp with the Vivid-Gore Title over his shoulder. He steps up onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. he then hands the title belt to Jake Masterson. Max has a microphone in hand. Max Cameron - As your general manager, I am proud to announce to you, the new Vivid-Gore champion, "PrimeTime," your newest CWA superstar! Max then takes a superkick to the chin from Hoshi Yakamoto who is clearly not happy with the result. Masterson drops and rolls himself out to the floor with his newly won title now over his shoulder. He makes his way up the ramp and tells Hoshi anytime she wants a shot at the belt, she knows where to find him. Ricky Simms - This is wrong. Slim and Hoshi give it their all and this guy bides his time. Henry Lesher - You're mad at him for being
smarter than Slim and Hoshi? Might as well hate on everyone back
there except Scavenger. Joe Davidson - I understand you have an announcement to make. Shannon Skanes - I believe in rewarding good work. That's why that Vivid-Gore Title just went to a new star who is going places in the CWA. That is why people are getting their chance to take rated R out both tonight and in two weeks. I am going to make his life miserable to his final breath in the CWA. In order to best reward Lucy Johnson and First Degree for their work, they are getting a special gift from me. Joe Davidson - They are? Shannon Skanes - See, Wren isn't here tonight either. Don't think for a second that didn't escape my eye. I don't want to be seen as playing favorites here. Joe Davidson - That happens? Shannon Skanes - Joe, there are many things that happen. The reward will come at Sunstroke in two weeks. The Seven Circles of Hell will all be equally terrible. Jake Masterson, as an example, gets to defend his belt against Slim and Hoshi in a triple threat TLC match. Joe Davidson - That should be interesting. Shannon Skanes - If he's a worthy champ, he gets to prove it by being the last one standing in that match. It remains to be seen if that will be the case. Joe Davidson - And did you get my request? Shannon Skanes - *smiles* I got your request, Joe. You and Steve get that one last chance in two weeks. Joe Davidson - You're a fair man, Mister
Skanes. Ricky Simms - What on Earth is Ryan doing? Henry Lesher - No one worth his time is inside the ring. Rated R reaches the stage exit and then a masked man blocks his plans to leave. The man known only as Sporadic then follows Rated R as he retreats down the ramp. From the camera's perspective, we can hear Sporadic saying "Target acquired," but he says nothing else and the fans seem confused on who this might be. Ricky Simms - Okay, that's weird. Henry Lesher - Looks like Deuce, but I don't think it is. Maybe this guy stole his mask? Rated R reaches ringside and then Sporadic finally backs off. Rated R, clearly not wanting to know who is under the mask yet, decides to step up onto the ring apron and then step through the ropes into the ring which finally allows the referee to call for the bell. Rated R is attacked by First Degree who gives Rated R a knife edge chop to the chest, then a knee to the gut before giving him a double axe handle smash across the back. Lucy Johnson then dropkicks First Degree through the ropes to the floor and then lands a springboard leg drop to the throat on the downed Rated R before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rated R. Ricky Simms - This should be quite the match with a CWA veteran against two hungry newer stars. Henry Lesher - At least I can't argue that this is a talented main event for a change. Lucy stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat. She then goes for an elbow smash on Rated R, but he rolls out of the way and then rolls himself out to the floor. He says this match is beneath him and heads for the ramp. He then takes a clothesline to the floor from First Degree, having forgotten he was out there. First Degree then puts the boots to the downed Rated R while Lucy Johnson climbs the ropes in the corner. She calls out and then jumps. First Degree turns and takes a missile dropkick to the chest from Lucy which sends him down to the floor. Lucy then stands Rated R up only to take a jawbreaker from Ryan who then slams her forehead into the steel ring steps. Rated R then rolls her into the ring before doing the same himself. 1...2... Lucy gets a foot on the bottom rope. Ricky Simms - I thought he had the win there. Henry Lesher - Well, you're used to seeing Hoshi get pinned so much tonight... Rated R stands Lucy up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a lariat to the mat. Rated R then grabs her by the hair and seems set to end this. He picks her up and sets for the Restricted, but First Degree chop blocks rated R down as he slips back into the ring. First Degree then places Rated R in an ankle lock submission hold and the referee checks to see of Rated R submits. Rated R refuses to give up and we see Lucy slowly getting to her feet. Rated R rolls himself over and kicks First Degree into the corner where Lucy then gives First Degree a knee to the gut and then a DDT to the mat before she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by First Degree. Ricky Simms - It really is every man and woman for themselves out here. I didn't expect that and I wonder why Cass isn't the referee. Henry Lesher - Well, if it wasn't for the masked idiot, this match would not be happening right now. Lucy stands Degree up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a dropkick right to rated R who rolls him into a small package. 1...2... kick out by First Degree. Rated R slaps the mat and says that was a three count. He then gets to his feet and has a few words with referee Steve Blake. Blake shakes his head and then exits the ring. He heads up the ramp while Rated R watches him go. First Degree then catches Rated R with a kick to the back and then gives him an inverted DDT to the mat. Lucy Johnson then uses this opportunity to hit a lionsault onto Rated R and hooks the leg for the pin while Cass Smith slips into the ring. 1...2...3! Lucy Johnson gets the win and the crowd explodes when Cass raises her arm in victory. Ricky Simms - What a win for Lucy! The streak continues. Lucyberg maybe? Henry Lesher - Shoot me now. As Lucy celebrates inside the ring, Shannon Skanes emerges onto the stage and is applauding the winner. he then signals he wants quiet, a microphone in his hand for the second time tonight. Shannon Skanes - I am so excited about this announcement. You see, Lucy should get her shot. Everyone should. In two weeks, the Sanitarium will truly outdo itself. Moose, Effing Legendary, Bullrush, and First Degree qualified for the McDonald's Title shot and can win if they escape the cage at the top of it. Lucy Johnson and Wren SilverPhoenix qualified for the Rocky Mountain title and can win in a ladder match... or can they? See, I think the ladder belongs INSIDE the Sanitarium. Lucy here has a lot of spirit, so why deny her? The Vivid-Gore Title will be on the line with no rules and the winner survives a glass chamber. Hey, why not have two glass walls built into the Sanitarium? The Vivid-Gore Champ can be the first one to pin anyone outside the glass chamber. That sounds like a fun twist. Then there's the tag titles. Why not have Southern Comfort defend their titles against the Yakamoto Sisters and... The Yellow and Black Attack inside the Sanitarium? Okay, let's see what's going on in the parking lot. Shannon points to the big screen over the stage and we see Kira Yakamoto in the parking lot. She has a baseball bat in hand and is using it against someone's car. Shannon Skanes - Before the Vivid-Gore Title match, I told Kira I wanted to see how badly she wanted gold in this company. She forfeited her spot in the Vivid-Gore Title match and took that bat out to pay a visit to Ryan Yorke's car. She did this because I told her it would get her inside the Sanitarium. There you have it. Every title is on the line in the Sanitarium. There are four ways to win. If you want to win the tag titles, all you have to do is get out through the front door of the cage with your partner. Oh, and your partner can be anyone of your choosing. Isn't this fun? The other kicker is, you can own more than one title after this match. Hell, you can own EVERY title if you climb the ladder, pin someone outside the glass, escape with your partner and then go for the big championship belt by escaping through the top. You can re-enter the steel monstrosity after leaving it and claiming one belt to try for another. The message is clear. NO ONE is safe. Sunstroke will be hell for everyone. In two weeks, see you in hell. Shannon exits the stage area while a shocked Lucy Johnson and First Degree look on from inside the ring while Rated R has escaped the ring and taken off through the crowd to attend to his vehicle. We fade to black on a shot of the Sunstroke logo in the rafters of the building. |
