January 17, 2009 The crowd cheers as the pyro goes off and then we see Kelly Buchanan making her way onto the stage with Ariel Johnson at her side. Kelly Buchanan - No music and no frills for us. Not tonight. I just want to let the divas backstage know that I have been working with Ariel and next week we will see what she has to offer inside the ring for the first ever Buchanan challenge. Ariel will stand inside that ring next week and she will toss any diva over the top rope who has the courage to challenge her. If she wins, she gets a CWA contract. If not, I continue my training with her and she loses half of what she could have made in this company. Ariel then grabs the microphone. Ariel Johnson - It will be nice to see a Johnson sister actually do something for a change.
The camera shows ring announcer Sammy Jo Johnson shaking her head
and rolling her eyes while Kelly and Ariel head backstage. Voice: I have been away far too
long….. In my absence, others have tried to assume my roles of the
Monster. I AM the One Man Army and I have returned. I’ve watched
from the sidelines long enough. It is time I returned. It’s time I
take what I rightfully deserve; the World Championship belt. It’s a
new year and a time for new opportunities. This is my opportunity to
finally cement my legacy in this company. The has-been’s, nobodies,
and never was should step aside and allow me what is due to me. We look upon the darkness a few
moments more, but we do not see the man behind the voice before we
return to the action. "Motherf***er of the Year" by Motley Crue plays as Shannon Skanes and Bruce Miller make their way onto the stage. They pose on stage for the fans and then make their way down the ramp towards the ring. They stop at ringside for a moment to discuss strategy while the fans boo them. Shannon then rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring and smirks as he stands in the corner while their music fades and Bruce takes his place in their corner. We then hear "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC and Max Cameron makes his way onto the stage. The crowd cheers him on as he makes his wau down the ramp towards the ring. Ricky Simms - Max is heading into a slaughter here tonight. Henry Lesher - No argument there. This idiot doesn't even technically have a job here and he's going to get beaten up. At least before he was beaten up for money. Max makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He and Shannon stand nose to nose and they have words while referee Rob Rai calls for the bell to get things started. Shannon shoves Max. Max shoves Shannon back and the former CWA owner answers with a slap across the face. Max then gives Shannon a series of forearm smashes to the jaw which back him up to the ropes and then he gives Shannon an Irish whip off the ropes before giving him a dropkick that sends him down to the mat. Max then goes to Bruce and gives him a clothesline off the apron to the floor before he turns back to Shannon and places him in a headlock with the intention of giving him a DDT. Instead, Shannon picks Max up and backdrops him to the mat before he gives him a knee drop to the forehead. Shannon then chokes the downed Max while Bruce returns to their corner. Ricky Simms - Shannon claimed this week that he doesn't even need Bruce and he'll beat Max alone. Henry Lesher - Well, at least he has the luxury of having someone to tag, unlike Max. Shannon releases the choke, stands Max up and whips him off the ropes and then both men clothesline each other to the mat. The referee starts counting both men down. On the four count, both Max and Shannon kip up to their feet and they start trading punches. Max takes an eye gouge from Shannon and answers with a knee lift to the gut and then gives him a snap mare to the mat. Max then headlocks Shannon and then gives him a bulldog to the mat before he rolls him over for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shannon. Max then stands Shannon up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Shannon ducks it and then he gives Max a facebuster to the mat and then he picks Max up and gives him a scoop slam back to the mat where he then lands an elbow to the throat on Max before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Max Cameron. Shannon then stands Max up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor before he drops and rolls himself out as well. Ricky Simms - As usual, a fight between these two will get ugly. Henry Lesher - Naturally, since they are both ugly men. Shannon stands Max up, whips him towards the steel corner post, but Max stops himself, turns and then gives Shannon an eye rake before whipping him shoulder first into the steel corner post. Max then gives Shannon a German suplex to the floor. Max then stands Shannon up, and then whips him into the guard railing shoulder first. Max then stands Shannon up, rolls him into the ring and then does the same himself. Max then goes for the pin. 1...2... Shannon kicks out. Max then stands Shannon up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat. Max then goes to a neutral corner and makes his way to the second rope before he leaps off and lands a double axe handle smash to the back on Shannon. He again goes for the pin. 1...2... Shannon kicks out. Ricky Simms - Shannon is taking a beating in there. How long until he tags in Bruce? Henry Lesher - He doesn't need Bruce. It's just Max Cameron. Max stands Shannon up, whips him into a neutral corner and then goes for a shoulder block on Shannon, but he side steps it and then he does a shoulder roll to his corner where he tags in Bruce Miller. Bruce charges into the ring and gives Max a running knee lift to the face and then gives him a swinging neckbreaker to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Max who then rolls himself out to the floor with Bruce close behind. Max gets to his feet and stands nose to nose with Frank Merritt. Frank goes for a clothesline on Max, but Max ducks it and then Frank drops Bruce with the clothesline instead as the referee calls for the bell. Shannon drops off the apron and charges at Frank who retreats into the crowd. Ricky Simms - What the hell is going on here? Henry Lesher - Frank heard my wish. I prayed to Frank for him to show up and he answered. Ricky Simms - You pray to Frank? Henry Lesher - You have a better option? Shannon checks on Bruce while
Max retreats with a smile on his face, despite losing the match by
DQ. Max makes his way up the ramp and tells the camera that he is
still standing. Ray Dees - Well, word has it that Gerard Angelo failed to show up. 6Pac Dudley - Maybe he realized what he was up against and he killed himself. I mean, he has been dead before. Ray Dees - That's a bit extreme, isn't it? 6Pac Dudley - Look, I went to Wyatt and I laid it out to him. I want my title back. Bombshell is not keeping my title belt. Battle of the Warriors is coming and I want my rematch with her. Wyatt agreed that it needs to happen and it needs to be a fight. At Battle of the Warriors, I will get my shot at Bombshell inside a steel cage. Ray Dees - That should be quite the fight. 6Pac Dudley - It's just the beginning. Tonight, Total Darkness takes the tag titles as a build up to me getting the Aerial title back. The gold will all be ours eventually. Ray Dees - I guess it's good to be confident. 6Pac
Dudley - No, it's only good to be confident when you have the talent
to back it up. I will back it up as I always do. "Hollow Man" by The Hollow Men plays as Gary Barber and JC Michaels emerge onto the stage, but they are already fighting with Tommy Purr and Jack Spade. They exchange punches on the stage as the music fades out and the crowd cheers. JC rams Tommy's face into a steel post which holds up the big screen over the stage. Jack Spade gives Gary Barber a backdrop onto the steel and then delivers a leg drop across the throat on the number one contender for the CWA title. Jack then takes a vicious punt to the head from JC Michaels. JC stands Jack up, then gives him a belly to belly overhead suplex onto the steel stage while the crowd boos. JC then gets to his feet and takes a series of punches to the head from a recovered Tommy Purr who then gives JC a brutal headbutt which sends him down to the stage. Ricky Simms - These teams really hate one another. Henry Lesher - That does not surprise anyone. Tommy stands JC up and takes a thumb top the eye from Michaels who then knees Tommy in the gut and then gives him a gutwrench suplex to the stage. JC then slowly gets to his feet and starts trading punches with Jack Spade. Gary Barber then chop blocks Spade to the stage and then he and Michaels start putting the boots to Jack Spade while security rushes out to break things up. Ricky Simms - This one isn't even going to get to the ring and, with the tag titles on the line tonight, I doubt this will be the last that these teams see of one another. Henry Lesher - Let them fight. This is at least entertaining. JC and Gary toss security members around like rag dolls and continue to lay the boots to Spade, but Tommy Purr spears JC Michaels to the stage and Barber is tackled by six security team members who are charging at once. Purr lays into JC with punches to the head and blood streams down JC's face as he gives Tommy a knee to the groin and then slams his face to the stage. JC then is pulled away from Tommy by more security team members as the crowd boos. Tommy gets to his feet and takes a free shot at a restrained Gary Barber only to take a spear to the stage from a charging Shadow. Ricky Simms - Shadow's out here to stack the deck. Henry Lesher - That's what the EVC does, Rick. Shadow then stands Tommy up and tosses him from the stage to the floor below. He then poses on the stage before security shoves him towards the entrance. Shadow pulls JC and Gary free from the security force and the three of them then willingly exit the stage area. Ricky Simms - How the hell is Tommy going to compete for the tag titles tonight after that fall?
Henry Lesher - Hey, it's sound planning by the EVC. Take one
member of the team out and it becomes a breeze as they are crowned
the new tag team champions of the CWA. I feel bad for Tommy, but
he's the one with the second rate allies tonight. Myst - This had better be important. Jordan Gibson peeks her head in. Myst - Like I said... Jordan Gibson - I wanted to talk to you about your recent cuts. Myst - Dead weight got cut. What's your point? Jordan Gibson - Well, one diva hasn't taken the news well and she's wanting her job back. Myst - Good for her. She was dead weight and got cut. Jordan Gibson - She isn't taking that for an answer. She is here tonight. Myst - *rolls her eyes* I really need someone who can be an enforcer around here. Jordan Gibson - Ryan?
Myst - I am not ruling anyone out. "Voices" by Rev Theory plays as Malk makes his way onto the stage, the crowd giving him a loud ovation. Malk then makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and then high fives fans at ringside as he does a lap before he pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Malk then tests the ropes while his music fades and then we hear "The Imperial March" by Metallica and Eternity makes his way onto the stage where the crowd gives him a round of boos. He has a smile on his face as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and shakes his head as he looks at Malk. Ricky Simms - It doesn't look like Eternity is impressed with the opposition tonight. Henry Lesher - Who can blame him? Malk loses battles with his shoelaces. It's sad watching him trip as he leaves the arena every week. Ricky Simms - Stop that. Henry Lesher - It's even worse that his shoes are usually Velcro. Ricky Simms - Just stop. Eternity pulls himself onto the apron and has a few words with Malk. Malk gives him a right hook to the chin and then brings him into the ring with a vertical suplex as referee Steve Blake calls for the bell. Malk gets to his feet and then boot chokes Eternity, holding the top rope for added leverage. Malk releases the choke before the referee reaches a five count, then stands Eternity up and whips him off the ropes before giving him a knee to the gut that sends him flying through the air. Malk then stands Eternity up and gives him a series of knife edge chops that back him into the corner buckle. Eternity answers with an eye rake on Malk and then gives him a series of knife edge chops which back him to the middle of the ring where he then delivers an inverted atomic drop and then gives Malk a clothesline to the mat. Ricky Simms - Early momentum for Malk, but that has turned now. Henry Lesher - Malk just plain sucks. Eternity stands Malk up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick that sends him back down to the mat. Eternity then stands Malk up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Eternity drops and rolls himself out to the floor as well. He starts putting the boots to Malk. He then stands Malk up and whips him shoulder first into the ring steps before he rolls him into the ring and then himself as well. Eternity then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Malk. Eternity then stands Malk up, whips him into the corner buckle and then charges in for a shoulder block only to take raised knees to the chin from Malk. Malk then jumps to the top rope and then hits a clothesline to the mat on Eternity from there before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eternity. Malk then stands Eternity up, whips him off the ropes and both men dropkick one another and crumple to the mat in a heap. Ricky Simms - Both men are down. Henry Lesher - But only one is a man. The other should stay down and be glad he still has a job. The referee starts counting both men down. On the four count, Eternity manages to get to his hands and knees and then he kicks the head of Malk. Eternity then uses the ropes to get all the way to his feet. Malk gets to his feet and Eternity goes for a kick to the head on Malk, but Malk catches the foot and then pulls Eternity to the mat and then he applies a figure four on Eternity. The referee checks for a submission. Eternity refuses to submit and reaches for the ropes. He pulls himself towards the ropes while Malk tries to hold him in the middle of the ring. Eternity then lunges and manages to grab the bottom rope which forces the break. Ricky Simms - Malk almost had the win there. Henry Lesher - No he didn't. You're lying. Eternity pulls himself out to the floor as Malk gets to his feet inside the ring. Eternity paces on the floor and Malk quickly gets tired of it. Malk dives through the ropes and out to the floor onto Eternity, but Eternity catches him in mid air and gives him a spinning power slam to the floor. Eternity then stands Malk up and rolls him into the ring and then rolls himself in where he goes for the pin. 1...2... reversal into a roll up by Malk who grabs a hold of the tights. 1...2...3! Malk gets the win over Eternity this week! Ricky Simms - In a shocking upset, Malk gets the win here tonight! Henry Lesher - I hope he enjoys it, because the EVC will do away with him for this.
Malk quickly reatreats up the ramp while Eternity argues with the
referee about the holding of the tights. The crowd cheers and there
is even a chant for Malk as he reaches the stage. Crystal Braun - Last time we were here, we found out Scavenger has a half sister and she isn't his fan. Tonight I am talking with Lace of the Anarchy Angels. Lace - The CWA skeletons keep coming. The thing is, my father knows I exist and I am a full blooded sister to my siblings. Crystal Braun - So why the snub? Lace - I didn't like the family business and I was the youngest, so I got shuffled aside. Crystal Braun - That's terrible. I guess it's good that Vesuvius has helped you. Lace - Vesuvius has been a rock. The CWA roster may not know Regina Parizi yet, but they will soon find out that Lace is pretty and soft, but all of that is deceptive. Crystal Braun - It will be interesting to see who has the courage to fight Tony Parizi's daughter. Lace - It will be interesting to see if Cordelia and Lydia even acknowledge me. They haven't done so yet, but I am just getting started.
Cordelia exits the shot and Crystal smiles as we head back to the
ring. "My Own Enemy" by Thousand Foot Krutch plays as Greyson Blaze comes out to a decent ovation from the crowd. He makes his way down the ramp and gives fans along the side of the ramp high fives before he stops at ringside and looks around the arena at the screaming fans. He smiles and nods his head before he slides under the bottom rope into the ring. He then gets to his feet and does a few jumping jacks while his music fades out. We then hear "Firefly" by Breaking Benjamin and the crowd has a more mixed reaction to the entrance of Daniel McCoy. He runs down the ramp and he slides under the bottom rope into the ring before jumping to his feet and standing nose to nose with Blaze. Referee Mark Davis calls for the bell as McCoy extends his hand towards Blaze. Ricky Simms - McCoy offering a handshake before these two go at it here. Henry Lesher - I wish he would slap him, but I doubt that will happen. Blaze does shake hands with McCoy and then they both take a step back and lock up in a test of strength. McCoy has the early edge, but Blaze quickly counters that only to have his feet swept out from under him by McCoy. Blaze reatrets to a corner and quickly gets to his feet while McCoy smiles. They lock up then and McCoy shoves Blaze back to the corner and gives him a series of kicks to the chest. Blaze answers with a series of forearm smashes to the jaw which back McCoy across the ring and into the opposite corner. Blaze then whips McCoy to the opposite turnbuckle and then gives him a running knee lift to the chest followed by a monkey flip to the center of the ring. McCoy jumps to his feet and starts trading rights and lefts with Blaze. Ricky Simms - Good back and forth action between two men who appear to be evenly matched here. Henry Lesher - Well, Blaze is crap and McCoy is crap and a half. McCoy ducks a right hook from Blaze and then turns him around, picks him up and gives him an atomic drop followed by an inverted DDT to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Greyson Blaze. McCoy then stands Blaze up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a shoulder block that sends him back down to the mat. McCoy then goes to the corner buckle and climbs the ropes. He poses there before leaping off and missing with a flying elbow smash as B;aze rolls himself out of the way. Blaze then gets to his feet while McCoy does the same, favoring his elbow. Blaze sees this and applies an arm bar on McCoy which he then turns into a hammerlock. McCoy screams in pain, but he refuses to submit when asked by the referee. Ricky Simms - Sounds strategy by Blaze here, seeing a weakness in McCoy. Henry Lesher - Good thing no one gave him a mirror or he'd lose the will to live, much less wrestle. McCoy lunges and grabs the top rope to force a break of the hold. Blaze releases the hold and takes a kick to the gut from McCoy who then gives Blaze a clothesline to the mat. McCoy then gives Blaze a leg drop across the chest and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Greyson Blaze. As McCoy stands Blaze up, we see Gary Barber and JC Michaels making their way down the ramp, Shadow close behind them as they walk side by side. Ricky Simms - Why are they out here? Henry Lesher - There is nothing wrong with scouting your next opponents and they're in the tag match later tonight. Ricky Simms - I doubt this is a scouting mission. McCoy whips Blaze off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat. McCoy then picks Blaze up and gives him a slam to the mat before he again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Blaze. McCoy stands Blaze up again, then spots JC, Gary and Shadow at ringside watching the action. He then whispers something in Blaze's ear. Blaze nods. They then both charges and leap over the top rope and dive onto JC, Gary and Shadow while the referee calls for the bell. Ricky Simms - Hey, I have to agree with that. They attacked the EVC before the EVC could attack them. Henry Lesher - That's hardly fair. They were just watching. This is in poor taste. McCoy quickly gets to his feet and grabs a chair from under the timekeeper, sending him flying. McCoy then swings wildly with the chair and clocks JC, then Shadow, and then Gary while they retreat up the ramp. McCoy, still with the chair in hand, then looks at Greyson Blaze. He rears back with the chair for a moment and then relaxes and drops the chair before he helps Blaze up. Blaze and McCoy then shout at the retreating members of the EVC while JC and Gary make various threats about later tonight. Ricky Simms - This match got thrown out, but boy does this add to the tension for the tag match later tonight. The EVC are making friends all over the place.
Henry Lesher - This is wrestling, Rick. If you want friends, do
something else. Jordan Gibson - What are you doing? Chastity - Talking, which is none of your business. Jordan Gibson - You know, I don't like your attitude. Kira Yakamoto - She isn't allowed to talk? Jordan Gibson - Shouldn't you be starting an online petition for Eli's return or something? Chastity - Don't be a bitch to her because you're on the rag, Jordan. Jordan Gibson - That's the attitude I don't like. Kira Yakamoto - I can pass messages along to Eli for you. I'm sure he'd be really happy to hear you're mocking him. Jordan Gibson - Yeah, that should really piss him off in the bread line. He'll grip those food stamps so tight. Chastity has heard enough and she drops Jordan with an upper cut to the jaw. Jordan is out cold before she hits the floor and Wyatt quickly rushes in, looking panicked. Wyatt Gibson - My God, Jordan! Chastity - She's fine. I just punched her in her stupid face. Wyatt Gibson - That's it. You're in for it now. Ariel Johnson has her chance to prove herself next week. Now, you get your chance. Chastity, next week you're defending your title in a TLC match. To keep it interesting, it's an open challenge. For tonight, though, you're going home. Chastity - You know the sad part, Wyatt? You're a bigger bitch than she is.
Chastity storms off and we head back to the ring. "End of the Line" by Devildriver plays as Joe Jones comes out onto the stage where the crowd gives him a warm reception. Jones then runs down the ramp and jumps onto the ring apron and then leaps over the top rope into the ring. Jones then tests the ropes and talks with referee Rob Rai while his music fades and "Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits plays as The Moose makes his way onto the stage, the CWA title over his shoulder. The crowd starts chanting his name as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Moose then hands his title belt off to the timekeeper at ringside before he then makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Moose and Jones talk to one another as the referee calls for the bell to get things started. The two of them lock up and Moose quickly backs Jones to the ropes, then gives him an Irish whip and then misses with a clothesline when Jones ducks it. Moose then ducks a clothesline from Jones and then gives him a gutbuster before he then stands Jones up, whips him into the corner buckle and then he gives Jones a series of shoulder blocks. Ricky Simms - Quick start for Moose here in this non-title battle. Henry Lesher - Jones it the better man. At least this is a match I want to watch. Moose whips Jones to the opposite corner and then charges into raised knees from Jones. Jones then jumps to the second rope and then he lands a dropkick to the chest on Moose from there. Jones then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Jones then stands Moose up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Jones then goes to the corner buckle and makes his way to the top rope. Moose stands on the floor and takes a clothesline back to the floor from a diving Jones. Jones then stands Moose up and whips him into the guard railing before he rolls him back into the ring and then does the same himself. He goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Jones stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Moose ducks it before he gives Jones a reverse neckbreaker to the mat and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Jones. Ricky Simms - A couple of early near falls here. Henry Lesher - Your ability to state the obvious is startling. Moose stands Jones up and then whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Moose waits for Jones to stand and then he executes a baseball slide which sends Jones crashing into the guard railing. Moose then stands Jones up and slams his forehead into the guard railing. He then picks Jones up and drops him on the guard railing, his chest crashing into the unforgiving steel. Moose then rolls Jones into the ring before doing the same himself and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Jones. Moose then stands Jones up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Moose then goes to the corner buckle and makes his way to the top rope. He goes for a flying knee drop from there only to have Jones roll out of the way. Jones then uses the ropes to get to his feet, grabbing at his ribs from the railing drop he took. Jones kicks at Moose and then stands him up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a hip toss to the middle of the ring. He then stands Moose up and then gives him a vertical suplex to the mat. He stands Moose up again and this time gives him a snap suplex to the mat and he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Ricky Simms - Jones is giving Moose all he can handle this week. Henry Lesher - I said he was better than Moose. God knows he's better looking. Jones stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Jones then lands an elbow smash to the throat on Moose and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. He then pulls Moose to his feet and then gives him a knee to the gut and appears set to deliver the Double Vision. The crowd cheers Jones as he lands the move and then goes for the pin. 1...2... Moose gets a foot on the bottom rope. Jones looks stunned by this and shakes his head. He pulls Moose to the middle of the ring and then signals to the crowd that he is ready to end this one. Ricky Simms - Jones appears to be setting up for the figure four here and a huge upset! Henry Lesher - Just do it. Don't pander to the idiots. Jones grabs one of Moose's legs and then turns to cinch in the hold and takes a kick to the back from Moose. Moose then rolls himself out of the ring to the floor. He looks dazed and a little out of it from the punishment Joe Jones has given him. Jones rolls himself out of the ring and takes a kicks to the gut from Moose. Moose then picks Jones up over his shoulder and then gives him a Moosedriver onto the floor. Ricky Simms - My God, that could have killed Jones! Henry Lesher - Someone forgot to tell these guys this match was on free TV. They're not supposed to put on a good match. That was impressive. Moose picks up a lifeless looking Jones and rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring and then he goes for the pin. 1...2...3! The Moose gets a hard fought win and still looks a little dazed while he rolls himself out of the ring and then he grabs his title belt from the timekeeper. He clutches it to his chest as he staggers up the ramp to the stage, the crowd once again chanting his name. He turns and raises the title high above his head acknowledging the crowd and he takes a vicious chair shot to the back of the head from Gary Barber. Moose falls to the stage while Barber smiles and tells him that he'll see him soon and to bring the title belt. Ricky Simms - Cowardly attack by Gary Barber out here. Hasn't he been on this bloody show enough? Henry Lesher - He is the number one contender. He is letting Moose know that he's here and he plans to do whatever it takes to become champion.
The crowd boos Barber as he exits after a bow towards the
audience and we look backstage. Myst - It is clear to me that the EVC is really overstepping its bounds this week. As a result, I will have to take executive action. If any member of EVC interferes in any match they are not a part of next week, they are all suspended. This is disappointing as I don't like handing out edicts. Now, I may not see eye to eye with Moose, but he has made this company a lot of money and he has the title. Gary Barber, you want to be in the spotlight. Battle of the Warriors usually features the best matches of the year. This year will be no different. Gary, you and Moose will battle in a best two out of three falls match. The first fall will be a street fight since you both appear to like fighting outside the ring. The second fall will be a steel cage match. If you are tied after those first two falls, you will square off in a third fall, which will be a last man standing match. This should ensure a good fight between you two and give the fan what they want to see, reckless violence. In terms of title matches, Vertigo has been absent and is close to losing his TV title shot. If he cannot compete, then we will find someone else to challenge JC Michaels. I would imagine there a re a number of people here who want a piece of him. Oh, and before I forget, tonight's tag title match is a Battle Royale. The last person standing inside that ring wins the titles for both members of their team. Myst takes a deep breath and rolls her eyes.
Myst - Someone is going to pay for me having to take the bull by
the horns like this. "Evolution" by Korn plays as it does for big matches such as these, preventing too many entrances from tiring the fans. The tag teams come out only a few feet away from one another. The teams of Hoshi Yakamoto and Tanja Michaels, Greyson Blaze and Daniel McCoy, Donovan Blake and Black Lightning, Tommy Purr and Jack Spade, Gary Barber and JC Michaels all make their way to the ring and everyone crowds into the ring while Barber tells the camera that he will win the title two falls to zero at Warriors. As the referee sets to call for the bell, a final team comes out and the crowd cheers as it's Max Cameron with Frank Merritt. They are arguing as they make their way down the ramp. Ricky Simms - Apparently Max's tag team partner was chosen for him by Wyatt Gibson. Henry Lesher - Wyatt has great taste then. Ricky Simms - But these men hate one another. Henry Lesher - This is what Max gets for wrestling without a contract. He has no clout. Frank and Max argue over who will climb the ring steps. Finally, Frank slams Max's face into the steps and then says he'll go first while he jumps onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Max slides into the ring, rubbing his forehead and then getting into Frank's face and asking what that was about. Frank denies he did anything and shrugs while referee Steve Blake calls for the bell. Every team targets JC Michaels and Gary Barber as the crowd cheers. Ricky Simms - The EVC made some friends tonight, it would appear. Henry Lesher - We have been over the friend thing, Rick. Michaels takes a vicious knife edge chop from Jack Spade and then from Tommy Purr while the members of Total Darkness give Gary Barber kicks to the gut. Barber then eye gouges Donovan Blake and then gives Black Lightning an eye rake along the top rope. Barber then takes a running tackle from Frank Merritt. JC Michaels is tossed over the top rope, but he manages to land on the ring apron. He then takes a dropkick to the chest from Greyson Blaze which sends him down to the floor. Ricky Simms - JC is out early here! Barber is on his own now! Henry Lesher - Oh, there will be hell to pay for that. From the floor, JC pulls Greyson Blaze out under the bottom rope to the floor. JC slams Greyson's head into the ring snnouncer's table and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the floor. JC then picks Greyson up and gives him a spinning power slam to the floor. JC stands over Greyson while the fans boo and he smiles. He then kicks Greyson in the side of the head before he walks away, though he doesn't actually leave ringside. Ricky Simms - JC is staying out here. The referee has to get rid of him. Henry Lesher - Now he's scouting for Gary and watching his back. Hey, if he wants to pull random guys out of the ring and decimate them, I am all for that. Inside the ring, Black Lightning is trading punches with Max Cameron. Frank Merritt actually charges to clothesline Max and, for a second time tonight, Max ducks it and Frank clotheslines Black Lightning over the top rope and out to the floor. Max has words with Frank who claims he meant to do that and he again doesn't understand why Max is upset. They then turn and take a double clothesline to the mat from Tommy Purr. Tanja Michaels and Hoshi Yakamoto give Donovan Blake a double vertical suplex to the mat which draws cheers from the crowd. Hoshi then picks Tanja up and slams her onto the fallen Blake which again draws cheers from the crowd. Black Lightning gets to his feet on the floor only to take a chair shot from JC Michaels. Ricky Simms - Seriously, get JC the hell out of here. Henry Lesher - He's entertaining as hell. Go tell him that his mother's fat. I'll hold your headset for you. The crowd erupts into cheers as The Moose and Joe Jones both come out with chairs in hand and march down the ramp. JC has his back to them as Moose lays him out with a chair and then they both slam chairs across his back. Joe Jones then drags JC by the feet from ringside and up the ramp while Moose holds his chair at his side and stands at ringside with the crowd again chanting his name. Ricky Simms - They were foes minutes ago, but they aligned themselves to stop the EVC here. Henry Lesher - This is wrong. Moose isn't in this match. Get him away from the ring. Inside the ring, Gary Barber thumbs Daniel McCoy in the eye and then gives him an inverted atomic drop before he whips McCoy over the top rope and out to the floor, eliminating him. Barber then spots Moose at ringside and has a few words for him. Hoshi then gives Barber a dropkick to the back which sends him over the top rope, but he manages to grab the rope and pulls himself back into the ring and then he gives Hoshi a kick to the gut and then an eye gouge before Tanja Michaels dropkicks him back over the top rope and out to the floor. Barber quickly gets to his feet and starts brawling with Moose at ringside while we see Shadow and Eternity rushing down the ramp. They attack Moose from behind and the three members of the EVC lay a beating on the champ. Ricky Simms - This is another garbage move by the EVC. Henry Lesher - Moose had the nerve to be out here. It wasn't his fight. Inside the ring, Tanja Michaels takes a knee lift to the gut from Donovan Blake who then whips her over the top rope and right onto Eternity. Hoshi then tosses Blake over the top rope and onto Shadow which draws a cheer from the crowd. Inside the ring, we then see Tommy Purr and Jack Spade sparring with Max Cameron and Frank Merritt. Greyson Blaze finally pulls himself into the ring, having recovered for the most part from the beating that JC Michaels laid on him. Greyson is greeted with an elbow smash from Hoshi Yakamoto. Hoshi then pulls him to his feet, whips him off the ropes and gives Greyson a dropkick to the mat. We then see Max Cameron pick Jack Spade up with the intention of throwing him to the floor, but Jack fights his way down and then he gives Max a series of elbows to the back of the head. Max turns and goes for a clothesline on Jack, but Jack ducks it and Max clotheslines Frank to the mat instead. Tommy Purr then gives Max a series of forearm smashes to the jaw while a dazed Frank gets to his feet only to be tossed over the top rope and out to the floor by Jack Spade. Ricky Simms - Well, Max accidentally hit Frank and now he's out. Henry Lesher - That was no accident. To think Max would do this after everything Frank did for him. Ricky Simms - Ate you kidding? Henry Lesher - After everything he did for Max. As Frank staggers at ringside, a female fan jumps onto the guard railing and then leaps onto Frank's back, placing him in a sleeper hold. Frank reacts by giving her a snap mare to the floor and then he starts putting the boots to her. Ricky Simms - That's Puckbunny Rose! Henry Lesher - Must be the useless diva who can't handle being fired. Frank stands Rose up and pulls her by the hair around the ring where the EVC-induced brawl is taking place. Frank whips Rose into Tanja Michaels and then he gives Rose a German suplex to the floor. He gets to his feet where he is then given a vicious punch to the jaw by Eternity. Frank starts brawling with Eternity while Moose battles his way to his feet and starts kicking Gary Barber. Shadow and Donovan Blake are trading punches on the floor as well as security finally starts rushing out to break up this melee. Ricky Simms - This is total insanity. Henry Lesher - Myst made the right move with this one. This is ratings. Inside the ring, Jack Spade rams Hoshi and Greyson's heads together and then he gives Greyson a clothesline to the mat before Hoshi gives Jack a jawbreaker. Max then whips the stunned Jack Spade over the top rope and out to the floor. Max is then given a double axe handle smash to the back by Tommy Purr who tries to push Max over the top, but Max grabs onto Tommy and the two are perched precariously on the top rope while the fans cheer. At ringside, security is having an issue with separating everyone. Frank Merritt sees Jack Spade on the floor and charges at him and they start brawling. Ricky Simms - At this rate, this fight may continue until well into next week. Henry Lesher - I would welcome that. Hoshi stands Greyson up and tries to whip him over the top rope to the floor, but he steadies himself inside the ring and then he tosses Hoshi over the top and out to the floor which draws boos from the crowd. Greyson then spots Tommy and Max on the top rope and he tries to shove them both out. Max and Tommy release one another and turn their attention to Greyson. They kick him in the ribs and then they give him a double hip toss over the top rope and out to the floor before Max and Tommy retreat to the middle of the ring. Ricky Simms - It comes down to Tommy and Max while their partners battle on the floor. Henry Lesher - If Max hadn't been stupid, Frank would still be in there and they would be champs right now. Since he is Max, he is always stupid. Max locks up with Tommy and then Max kicks Tommy in the gut and then whips him off the ropes and gives him a backdrop, but Tommy turns it into a sunset flip and then Tommy quickly gets to his feet and kicks Max in the facebefore he stands max up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop right into the middle of the security and wrestler scrum which causes the referee to call for the bell. Ricky Simms - Tommy Purr and Jack Spade did it! They are the champs! Henry Lesher - Well, one half of that team is good anyway. The match completed, Jack rolls himself into the ring to celebrate. Frank Merritt grabs the title belts from the timekeeper and goes to roll himself into the ring, but he takes a chair shot from Gary Barber who then takes a chair shot from Moose. Moose takes the title belts and tosses them into the ring to Tommy and Jack and then Moose exits ringside, heading back up the ramp with a chair still in hand and the fans cheering as Sammy Jo Johnson announces the new tag team champions of the CWA. Ricky Simms - This was a hotly contested match and Greyson Blaze was really close to an upset which would have made he and Daniel McCoy the oddest champs in history. Henry Lesher - If he had stayed out of the ring a little longer, it could have been his. The real turning point was Max being stupid and decking Frank. Ricky Simms - Frank twice tried to deck Max tonight. Henry Lesher - No, he tried to miss Max and it worked. He is on a higher plane than you. Ricky Simms - Whatever, that's it for tonight's edition of Overdrive. Welcome to 2009 and it looks as chaotic as 2008 ever was. Tune in next week for more reckless abandon. |
