February 8th, 2009 We see Rated R standing in a graveyard, fog dancing among the headstones. He has a shovel in hand and, as the camera pulls back, we see a fresh grave has been dug. Rated R - I will bury this company. I will bury every star in it. Next week, at Battle of the Warriors 2009, I start by burying you Shannon. As you choke for that last breath of air, your final vision will be of me holding this shovel, a smile on my face, as your legacy is forever buried. The camera then focuses on a headstone and it
zooms in. It reads "Here lies Shannon Skanes, Mediocre wrestler,
smelled like feet, Born February 10th, 1073 Died February 15th,
2009. Rest in hell." We then see the show's opening credits to the
tune of "Breath" by Swollen Members featuring Nelly Furtado. and
then head to ringside. "Ghost Town" by Shiny Toy Guns plays as Sammy Jo Johnson is walked onto the stage by Night Dweller and Vesuvius. They lead her down the ramp towards the ring as the crowd gives her a mixed response. Sammy stops at ringside and then makes her way up the ring steps onto the apron before she pulls herself through the ropes into the ring. Sammy then leans back against the ropes while her music fades and then we hear "Switch 625" by Def Leppard and Hoshi Yakamoto emerges onto the stage to the cheers of the crowd. Hoshi runs down the ramp to the ring and slides under the bottom rope into the ring where Sammy Jo greets her with kicks to the back as referee Casey Braun calls for the bell to get the action started. Ricky Simms - In the final Overdrive before Battle of the Warriors, these two divas square off. Henry Lesher - No one cares, so make this one quick. Sammy Jo stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a dropkick to the mat and then Sammy stands over Hoshi, stands her up, whips her into the corner buckle and then gives her a running shoulder block in the corner. Sammy then gives Hoshi a hip toss. Hoshi lands on her feet and then gives Sammy a series of knife edge chops in the corner before whipping her to the opposite corner of the ring and then Hoshi does a hand spring into a back elbow on Sammy Jo. Hoshi then gives Sammy Jo a monkey flip to the middle of the ring. Hoshi then goes to the corner buckle and makes her way to the top. She leaps off and lands a flying cross body on Sammy before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sammy Jo Johnson. Ricky Simms - Close call early there. Henry Lesher - Just make it over already. Hoshi stands Sammy Jo up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a dropkick to the mat. Hoshi then goes for a lionsault only to land on raised knees from Sammy Jo who then uses the ropes to get to her feet. Sammy Jo then eye gouges Hoshi, then whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. Sammy Jo drops and heads out to the floor after Hoshi. Sammy Jo then grabs Hoshi by the hair and slams her head into the guard railing. Sammy then tries to whip Hoshi into the steel corner post, but she stops her forward momentum and then gives Sammy a spinning heel kick to the chest which sends her into the railing. Hoshi then rolls herself into the ring while Sammy slowly gets to her feet. Sammy shakes off the effects of the attack and then rolls herself back into the ring. Hoshi stands Sammy up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a knee to the gut followed by a DDT to the mat before she goes for the pin. 1...2... Sammy gets a foot on the rope. Ricky Simms - I thought that was it. Henry Lesher - This show hates me. Make... it.... stop! Hoshi stands Sammy up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a backdrop to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the corner and jumps to the top rope. She poses, facing the crowd, and then she lands the Perfect 10 on Sammy Jo. She then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Hoshi Yakamoto wins her match with Sammy Jo this week. Ricky Simms - Impressive win for Hoshi. Henry Lesher - You're easily impressed, Rick.
You probably watched a lot of Full House back in the day and found
it hilarious. You make me sick. Wyatt Gibson - We have to talk. Myst - About? Wyatt Gibson - Max Cameron. Myst - Yeah, he wants his contract. I know that and I have been inspired. Wyatt Gibson - What do you mean? Myst - Max has one man he cannot beat. Wyatt Gibson - Boom? Myst - You're an idiot. I think we need to go big with Battle of the Warriors. Wyatt Gibson - Big? Like Adin Vick? Myst - No. Wyatt Gibson - Colossus? Myst - Stop talking. Look, Max has his own kryptonite and I am going to use that. Who has he never beat? Wyatt Gibson - You? Myst just smiles. Myst - You'll see. "Voices" by Rev Theory plays as Malk comes out onto the stage, the crowd giving him a warm response. He makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and then pulls himself onto the apron before he pulls himself through the ropes into the ring. Malk then stands in the middle of the ring while "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays and Max Cameron is seen at ringside, holding a ticket for the show in his hand. He then hands the ticket to Rod Gordon at ringside and he waves to the camera while the fans cheer. Max then pulls himself onto the apron before he steps through the ropes into the ring. Ricky Simms - Rod Gordon is here with Max tonight. Henry Lesher - He must have run out of stars to sit with. Referee Mark Davis calls for the bell as Max locks up with Malk. Max then backs Malk up to the ropes, then rakes his eyes along the top rope before giving him a punch to the throat. Malk answers with an eye gouge on Max, then rakes his eyes along the top rope and then gives him a punch in the throat. Malk then picks Max up and slams him to the mat and then gives him a knee drop to the forehead. Malk then two handed chokes Max while the referee counts towards a possible DQ. Malk releases the choke, then stands max up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a vicious punch to the head which brings him down to the mat. Malk then pulls Max to the middle of the ring and applies a Boston Crab which causes the referee to ask Max if he submits. Max refuses while some fans start a chant for Max, apparently led by Rod Gordon. Ricky Simms - Malk is the dominant one in this match so far. Henry Lesher - That shows how much Max sucks. Max reaches for the ropes while Malk tries to sit further back in the hold and force the submission. Max slowly pulls himself towards the ropes. He reaches out again and nearly grasps the bottom rope with his fingertips. He then clenches his teeth and finds the energy for another lunge which then allows him to grab the bottom rope and the referee forces the break. Max then pulls himself out to the floor to regroup. Malk drops and rolls himself out to the floor after him. He and Max start trading punches on the floor and Max then slams Malk's head into the ring apron. Max then gives Malk a double axe handle smash to the back before he then gives him a German suplex to the floor. Malk then stands Max up, rolls him into the ring and then does the same himself before he goes for the pin. 1...2... Max rolls a shoulder out. Ricky Simms - Max tried to get a break and Malk trashed him for it. Henry Lesher - No one gets up like Max. When he was growing up, he was a test subject for Asbestos Toys For Tots. The company went under as Max has ever since. Malk stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and Max ducks a clothesline and then gives Malk a knee to the ribs followed by a gutwrench suplex to the mat. Max then slowly gets to his feet as the momentum appears to have changed. Max looks to the cheering crowd for energy and then he starts landing punches to the head on Malk. “The Illusionist” by Scar Symmetry suddenly starts to play and Max looks stunned as Leech makes his way onto the stage. Max shakes his head and looks horrified. Leech has a briefcase in one hand and has a ladder under the other arm, nodding his head. Max says something in his direction, but is suddenly rolled up into a school boy by Malk. 1...2...3! Malk gets the win, though we have to believe that Max has bigger concerns now. Ricky Simms - Leech! Leech! Leech! The man Max has never beat, the man we would seem to be seeing as here to prevent Max from getting a contract with this company! Henry Lesher - Max is dead! Max's career is over! Leech is ending Max Cameron! This is the greatest moment in CWA history! This is an amazing moment for us all. The greatest wrestler ever is here and is going to destroy Max Cameron, a man he has destroyed so many times before. Let the games begin! Ricky Simms - It has to be Battle of the Warriors! Max stands in the middle of the ring shaking his head as Leech puts the ladder down and then puts down the briefcase. He then races down the ramp, slides into the ring and starts brawling with Max Cameron. They roll onto the floor at ringside and Henry Lesher can be seen jumping up and down at the announce table, unable to contain his excitement. Leech and Max get to their feet and Leech grabs a video monitor and smashes Max across the head with it. Max falls to the floor and Leech grabs an audio cable and wraps it around the throat of Max Cameron and starts choking him out with it. Leech then whispers something in Max's ear before releasing the choke and then he retreats to the ramp. He smiles and nods again while the fans seem to be in shock at this turn of events. Ricky Simms - Words fail me. Henry Lesher - Get Moose out here and hand that
damned title to Leech. I think he just killed Max. The last of his
nine lives is finally gone. Myst is the greatest owner ever for
setting this up. "Halls of Fear" by Nino Rota plays as Sal Clemenzo makes his way onto the stage. The crowd cheers as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He is followed by Cassandra O'Shea who looks lovely as always. Sal then pulls himself onto the apron before he jumps over the top rope into the ring. Sal's music then fades and the lights dim for a moment as we hear the opening strains of "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace and Rated R comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. He just shakes his head at the fans and then makes his way down the ramp. Rated R stops at ringside and looks up at Sal. He slowly pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake calls for the bell. Ricky Simms - These two had a blood feud that lasted for months. Henry Lesher - These two bring out the best in each other. I hope everyone in the back is watching this. They could learn something. Sal locks up with Rated R. Rated R shoves Sal to the ropes and then gives him a knee to the gut. Rated R then rakes the eyes of Sal along the top rope which is replied to with a vicious knife edge chop from Sal who then spears Rated R to the mat, straddles him and rains down punches to the face on Rated R. Sal then starts choking him which causes the referee to threaten to disqualify him. Sal releases the choke, stands Rated R up and whips him shoulder first into the corner buckle and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rated R. Sal then stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop right over the top rope and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - Brutal moves by Sal here as he punishes Rated R. Henry Lesher - Ryan will get the advantage now that the action is outside the ring. Sal waits for Rated R to stand and then he launches himself for a suicide dive onto Rated R, sending him to the floor in a heap. Sal then stands Rated R up and takes a thumb to the eye from Ryan. Rated R then slams Sal's head into the steel guard railing. He then picks Sal up and drops him on the guard railing, the steel striking the chest of Clemenzo. Rated R then turns to Cassandra and smiles. Rated R takes a step towards her and she backs away from him, clearly aware of Rated R's past deeds. Ricky Simms - Rated R is up to his sickening deeds again. Henry Lesher - Hey, she shouldn't be out here is she doesn't want Ryan to beat her down. It's his way. As Rated R advances on her, Sal rolls himself into the ring and then back out to break up the count. He then chop blocks Rated R to the floor and then starts choking him again. The referee exits the ring and starts to again threaten to disqualify Sal. Sal releases the choke, stands Rated R up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. Sal then places Rated R's throat over the bottom rope and starts choking him out with it while Cassandra is seen applauding at ringside. Sal releases the choke, stands Rated R up and whips him into the corner buckle and then he climbs to the second rope and starts raining punches down to the head on Rated R. The fans count off ten and Rated R then pulls Sal out of the corner and gives him an inverted atomic drop. Rated R then gives Sal a headbutt and then clotheslines him down to the mat before landing a leg drop across the throat on Sal and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sal Clemenzo. Ricky Simms - Ryan is in control now and wants the quick win. Henry Lesher - Ryan is always in control. Rated R stands Sal up, whips him through the ropes and out to the floor and then waits for Sal to stand before landing a baseball slide to the chest on Sal which drives him into the steel guard railing. Rated R then grabs Sal by the hair and slams his head into the guard railing. Rated R then picks Sal up over his shoulder and starts to run him towards the steel corner post. From the crowd, a shovel emerges and smashes Rated R in the face. The referee calls for the bell as Shannon Skanes steps over the railing and starts beating Rated R with the shovel. Sal gets to his feet and joins in on the beating of Rated R, putting the boots to him and then Sal grabs the steel ring steps. Shannon holds Rated R up and Sal runs at Ryan with the steps. Ryan ducks and Sal doesn't skip a beat, smashing Shannon in the face with the stairs before dropping them on the hunched over Rated R. He then stands over Shannon and tells him the stairs shot was for getting him disqualified. Ricky Simms - As usual, carnage reigns when these two meet. Henry Lesher - Great battle and great heart
shown here. I love this. Neriah Sweet - Tonight, Sammy Jo suffered a setback without you girls at her side. Ophelia - Neriah, we understand. Vesuvius and Night Dweller are two legends in this business. It makes sense to us. Chastity - And next week, we have something big in store. Neriah Sweet - Oh? Ophelia - You see, we found three divas who want to make their mark as badly as we do. Chastity - Their hunger is as great as ours. Next week, at Battle of the Warriors, it will be us against Team Lavin. Neriah Sweet - Six diva tag? That's going to be brutal. Ophelia - You remember me then, Neriah? That's sweet. Chastity - I heard that WWE has gone all PG and stuff. If you like your divas PG rated... Ophelia - You're going to hate us. Neriah Sweet - Meaning? Chastity - Just watch us. The Glamour Girls are
going to the top. Shelia Lavin is going to wish she stayed gone. "Stem" by Crossbreed plays as Shadow and 6Pac Dudley make their way onto the stage. The crowd boos them as they make their way down the ramp, side by side as any tag team who have been together for years might be. Shadow then rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring while 6Pac pulls himself onto the apron and takes his place in their corner. Shadow stands in the middle of the ring and glares towards the stage. Their music fades and then we hear "Piece of Me" by Britney Spears as Bombshell and Greyson Blaze make their way onto the stage. The crowd cheers them on and Greyson hits the ring on a dead run, slips under the bottom rope into the ring and starts brawling with Shadow as referee Noah Skanes calls for the bell. Ricky Simms - Greyson takes Shadow down, clearly remembering what Shadow fif to him a week ago. Henry Lesher - The kid has a memory, but no intelligence or taste in tag team partners. That's a bad combination. Greyson and Shadow exchange punches, then Greyson gives Shadow an eye gouge, as both men stand. Greyson then whips Shadow into a neutral corner and then gives him a dropkick there before giving him an arm drag to the middle of the ring. Greyson then places Shadow in an abdominal stretch. The referee checks for a submission, but Shadow refuses to give up. Shadow then reaches for the ropes with his free hand while Greyson struggles to maintain the hold. Shadow then manages to escape with a hop toss on Greyson and then he quickly applies a headlock and gives Blaze a bulldog to the mat before looking for the quick win. 1...2... kick out by Greyson Blaze. Ricky Simms - Greyson and Shadow are evenly matches so far. Henry Lesher - But Blaze is a kid. Shadow is the veteran and can and will dominate this kid. Shadow pulls Blaze to his corner and tags in 6Pac. The two of them then stand Greyson up and then both lift him up and give him a double brainbuster to the mat before 6Pac goes for the pin. 1...2... Blaze gets a foot on the bottom rope. 6Pac then stands Blaze up and whips him into the corner buckle. 6Pac then gives Blaze a series of shoulder blocks in the corner before giving him a scoop slam to the mat where he lands a knee drop to the forehead on Blaze and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Blaze while the fans start a chant for the fallen Blaze. 6Pac then stands Blaze up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - Blaze is in trouble outside the ring. That's a second home for Dudley. Henry Lesher - That's because he has no real talent. He's like a less attractive version of Mick Foley. 6Pac rolls himself out to the floor and then starts landing punches and kicks on Blaze. 6Pac slams Blaze's face into the steel ring steps and then picks him up and slams him to the floor. 6Pac then climbs onto the apron and waits for Blaze to be standing before giving him a double axe handle to the back from the apron. 6Pac then rolls Blaze back into the ring before rolling himself in as well. 6Pac then stands Blaze up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Blaze ducks it and then he quickly rolls to his corner and tags in Bombshell. Bombshell enters the ring and gives 6Pac a series of forearm smashes to the jaw which back him up and then she whips him off the ropes and gives him a spinning heel kick which sends him down to the mat. Bombshell then gives 6Pac a rolling thunder and she hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by 6Pac. Ricky Simms - Bombshell almost had the win there as the fresh wrestler in this match. Henry Lesher - That's the first time anyone has called her fresh. Bombshell stands 6Pac up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick that sends him back down to the mat. She then jumps to the top rope and goes for a moonsault, but 6Pac rolls himself out of the way in time to avoid it and then he quickly gets to his feet and pulls Bombshell by the hair to his corner where he tags in Shadow. Shadow and 6Pac then gives Bombshell a double headbutt down to the mat and Shadow then starts putting the boots to her while 6Pac is seen rolling himself out to the floor. 6Pac makes his way around the ring and grabs a steel chair and heads towards Greyson Blaze. Blaze drops off the apron and has words with 6Pac. Ricky Simms - Tense action outside the ring here, right in front of our table. Henry Lesher - Like I said, it's not like 6Pac can actually wrestle. Referee Noah Skanes takes notice of 6Pac outside the ring and he threatens to DQ him if he doesn't drop the chair. 6Pac then argues with the referee while Shadow pulls brass knuckles from his tights and he clocks Bombshell with them. Shadow then throws them out of the ring and goes for the pin while 6Pac backs off and drops the chair. The referee is no longer distracted and counts the pin. 1...2...3! Shadow and 6Pac get the win this week! Ricky Simms - 6Pac and Shadow work as a diabolical team in this one and get the cheap victory. Henry Lesher - A win is a win, Rick. No whining about it.
Shadow rolls himself out to the floor and he and 6Pac shake hands
while Blaze checks on Bombshell, who appears to have been knocked
out with the brass knuckles shot. The fans boo and throw cups and
various items at the winners while 6Pac and Shadow pay them no mind,
the result being the only important business tonight. Malk - What do you want? Daniel McCoy - You need a match next week. Malk - Your point is? Daniel McCoy - You're a little.... crazy... ain't ya? Malk - Wouldn't you be? I work harder than anyone around here and I get no respect for it. Daniel McCoy - I get ya, Malk. I get ya well. Next week, I'll get ya too. Malk - You're not worth my time. I should be fighting for the TV title. Daniel McCoy - But ya ain't, so you fight me. Malk - Give me one reason to fight you. McCoy pulls something small from his pocket and sprays Malk in the eyes before giving him a vicious clothesline to the floor. Ricky Simms - My God, he pepper sprayed him! Henry Lesher - Someone had to. McCoy picks Malk up and runs him head first into the wall before dropping him in a heap to the floor. He smiles and kneels next to a pained and blinded Malk.
Daniel McCoy - Now ya got a reason Malk. Now ya got a reason to
want me dead. See ya next week. "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry plays as Tommy Purr, Frank Merritt and The Moose make their way onto the stage. Tommy and Frank make their way down the ramp side by side while Moose appears to be hanging back a bit. Merritt and Purr pull themselves onto the apron and step through the ropes into the ring while Moose takes his place in the corner after he has handed the CWA title belt off to the timekeeper. Merritt and Purr discuss strategy while their music fades and then we hear "The Imperial March" by Metallica and Eternity, JC Michaels and Gary Barber make their way onto the stage. The three of them walk together down the ramp to the ring and stand at ringside for a moment while the crowd boos them. JC pulls himself onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring while Frank exits and Tommy motions JC on. Gary and Eternity take their place in the corner while referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get the action started. Ricky Simms - And now to the main event as the EVC faces three of the top stars in the CWA. Henry Lesher - Well, I usually find fault with what you say, but you're right in this case. Tommy and JC start trading punches in the middle of the ring. JC then eye gouges Tommy and whips him into his corner where both Eternity and Gary Barber throw punches that make their mark on Tommy. Tommy staggers back into a belly to belly suplex to the mat from JC. JC then stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a knee to the gut followed by a gutwrench suplex to the mat. JC then pulls Tommy to his corner and tags in Eternity. Eternity and JC then both kick Tommy in the gut, stand him up and give him a double slingshot suplex to the mat. Eternity goes for the pin as JC leaves the ring. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Ricky Simms - Tommy kicks out, but he is in no man's lands here. Henry Lesher - Oh, the deck is stacked, especially with Moose not looking like he's wanting to be out here right now. Eternity stands Tommy up and takes a jawbreaker from Tommy who reaches for his corner. Eternity shakes off the effects of Tommy's jawbreaker and grabs his foot to prevent a tag. Tommy then kicks Eternity away and then lunges to his corner and tags in Frank Merritt. Frank charges in and boots Eternity in the chest, sending him down to the mat. Frank then lands an elbow smash to the chest on Eternity and then slams his head into the mat repeatedly while the referee counts towards a possible disqualification. Frank stands Eternity up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a shoulder block down to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eternity. Frank stands Eternity up and takes a series of forearm smashes to the jaw from Eternity. Eternity then whips Frank into his corner where Gary eye gouges Frank and JC places Frank's throat over the top rope, then drops off the apron which slingshots Frank's throat and sends him choking to the mat. Ricky Simms - The EVC looks impressive so far. Henry Lesher - Hey, this match is made for them. It reminds me of the old Four Horsemen six man matches. These guys know where each man will be and what they will do, thanks to years of wrestling together. It's nearly impossible to combat that. Eternity places Frank in a sleeper hold and the fans start a chant for Merritt while JC and Barber are seen cheering their partner on to finish this match off quickly. Frank reaches for the ropes, but JC is seen pulling it back slightly to make the journey that much longer. Frank then elbows Eternity in the robs twice before he lunges and manages to grab the middle rope to force the break. Frank then blocks a punch by JC and manages to gives JC a headbutt and then Frank grabs the head of JC and drops to the mat, giving JC's neck a slingshot off the top rope and sending him crashing to the floor. Frank then takes a thumb to the eye from Eternity who tags in Gary Barber. Barber and Eternity then double headlock Frank and gives him a running bulldog to the mat. Eternity exits the ring while Barber goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Frank. Ricky Simms - Frank is showing how tough he is here. Henry Lesher - He's showing how poor of judgment he has in terms of picking his matches. He's simply not able to fight all three of these guys. Gary Barber stands Frank up, whips him off the ropes and Frank ducks a clothesline before lunging to his corner and tagging in Moose. Moose storms into the ring and gives Barber an atomic drop, then does the same to a charging Eternity. Moose picks Gary Barber up and gives him the Moosedriver and goes for the pin. 1...2... JC grabs Moose's foot and pulls him out of the ring. JC than slams Moose's head into the ring apron. Moose answers with a knee to the gut on JC and then rolls himself back into the ring. Barber greets Moose with a series of kicks to the ribs and then whips him off the ropes before giving him a headbutt. Moose staggers, then picks Barber up and delivers a second Moosedriver. Moose goes for the pin as Eternity is seen climbing the ropes. 1...2 Eternity break it up with a flying knee drop to the back of the neck on Moose. Ricky Simms - There's the EVC teamwork again. Henry Lesher - All three of them have to be down and out before you can get the win. They know it as well as I do.
JC slides into the ring as Frank charges in after Eternity. JC
tackles Frank and Eternity kicks Moose in the head. Gary Barber uses
the ropes to get to his feet while Frank is sent back to his corner.
Tommy Purr charges into the ring and tackles JC Michaels while
Barber and Moose start trading punches. Moose then goes to his
corner and tags in Frank before he heads back after Eternity. All
six men are in the ring as Gary clotheslines Moose over the top
rope! Tommy Purr drags Eternity out of the ring as well and they're
fighting on the floor. In the ring Frank drills JC with a few big
punches. Frank whips JC into the ropes and goes for a big
clothesline, but JC ducks. JC spins Frank around and hoists him up
on his shoulders. JC drills him with the Samoan Stunner! Outside the
ring Gary sends Moose into the steel post and then slides into the
ring. JC props up Frank and Gary nails him with the Shining Wizard! |
