December 19, 2010 Terminator - It was 1987 when we tore the roof off of the first Battle of the Warriors. Shannon Skanes - Seventy-three minute match no one will ever forget. Terminator - I remember tearing my way through the roster. I was unstoppable in the eyes of fans and then we squared off in one of the most intense and bloody battles this company has ever seen. Shannon Skanes - What's your point? Terminator - At Warriors, you get Rated R. He has bested you before. He gets this company, we watch it die. Personally, I think you need Ryan. I think without him, you'll grow bored and quit on your own volition. Shannon Skanes - You're dead wrong. Terminator - I hope so, because I will get my revenge for all those years ago. I will hold the Originals Title high and take my rightful place as a champion in the CWA. Shannon Skanes - It's a shame I foiled your plans in 1987 and now my son has to foil them in 2011. Shannon moves on and we hear "Coming Undone" by Korn while we see images of Moose, JGH, Austin Houston, Sean Angelo, Max Cameron, Frank Merritt and finally Hoshi Yakamoto before we go to the ring where Kathy Smith stands with a microphone in hand. Kathy Smith - It has been a rough go for the CWA this year. As we head into Battle of the Warriors, we don't see names like Leech, Myst, Kosmic Kitty, Wren SilverPhoenix, Ash or many of the other legends anywhere to be seen. Thus, to start the awards ceremony, I am here to award the best announcer of the year. She pulls an envelope from her jeans pocket, opens it and then sighs. Kathy Smith - Henry Lesher. Lesher jumps up from his broadcast position and slips under the bottom rope into the ring, nearly tripping as he then gets to his feet and grabs the microphone from Kathy Smith. Henry Lesher - I'd like to start by telling Moose to stay gone. Oh and no one wants Vigilante or Myst around here. The Flock have blessed me by not being here and I am overjoyed that no returns for Boomshakalaka are on the horizon. As we watch this company die a slow death, circling the drain and fighting against its fate in vain, I can thank Ricky Simms here. Inspired by the absolutely horrible announcing skills of Simms, I have soldiered on for nearly seven years and what a grand seven years they have been. This company sucks, but I do not and I am glad to finally be recognized for it. Lesher throws the microphone back to Kathy and then leaves the ring. He raises his arms to a booing crowd and hears a chant for Vigilante that makes him laugh while he returns to his seat. Henry Lesher - These fans are begging for Vigilante or Eli Ryder or any other hero from the past to save them. The sad truth is, nothing and no one will save them from fate. Those heroes have all seen how truly awful the CWA is and have moved on. Ricky Simms - You're truly an inspiration, Doc. Henry Lesher - They like me. I hate them all, but they still like me. Backstage we see Shengee Shmelky and his brother Ingee, both of them carrying electric guitars. Ingee Shmelky - This went so badly last time. Shengee Shmelky - Yo bro, yo. Dis gonna be off da tizzo of ha dizzo yo. Ingee Shmelky - Those aren't even words. Shengee Shmelky - I gonna be da trazzy of da gerzy. Dis gonna be fa la real yo! Ingee Shmelky - It's what and who? Shengee Shmelky - It be what dis be yo. Flava gonna be awesome yo! Ingee Shmelky - But Battle of the Warriors... I don't know. Frank Merritt walks into the shot and the crowd watching cheers wildly. Frank Merritt - Is there a problem? Ingee Shmelky - No, Mister Merritt. I was just telling my brother I think this is going to be awesome. Frank Merritt - Oh, it is going to be awesome. I need the money. If this fails, I'll take it out on you. Merritt leads the boys
away and we return to the ring. Bruce Miller - So, since 2010 is nearly over, I might as well let Ryan know that he has been picked as the most hated man in the CWA for the year. Also, your feud with our owner has been named the feud of the year. To congratulate you, seeing that Buck didn't show up for this little match tonight, I am going to square off against you one on one. Shannon can have whatever's left at Battle of the Warriors. The crowd cheers as Bruce drops the microphone and storms down the ramp to ringside and then pulls himself onto the ring apron before stepping through the ropes into the ring. The referee calls for the bell and then Bruce locks up with Rated R in the middle of the ring. Bruce shoves Rated R to the ropes and then gives him a spinebuster to the mat before raining down punches on the hall of famer. Bruce then stands Rated R up and sets for a vertical suplex. Ryan blocks that and reverses it, giving Bruce a vertical suplex to the mat. Rated R then gets to his feet and starts putting the boots to Miller while the fans start a chant for Bruce. Ricky Simms - This is an unexpected match up here tonight. Henry Lesher - Ryan's going to take Shannon down at Battle of the Warriors, so send a message by beating up his best friend. That makes sense to me. Rated R stands Bruce up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat and then gives him an elbow smash to the throat before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bruce Miller. Rated R then stands Bruce up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Rated R then dives through the ropes onto Bruce and tackles him to the floor. Ryan then stands Bruce up, goes for the whip into the steel corner post and Bruce reverses it to send Rated R shoulder first into the post and then gives him a German suplex to the floor. Bruce then rolls himself into the ring to break up the count and then rolls himself back out. Ricky Simms - Bruce is in control here. Henry Lesher - Rated R will win and that's why the fans hate him. They are jealous of success. Bruce stands Rated R up and takes a jawbreaker from Ryan. Rated R then slams Bruce's forehead into the ring apron before rolling him into the ring and then he rolls himself back in. Rated R then places Bruce's throat over the bottom rope and chokes him with it while the referee threatens to disqualify him. Rated R releases the choke, stands Bruce up and whips him off the ropes before giving him a clothesline to the mat. Rated R then lands a knee drop to the forehead on Bruce before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bruce as the fans start chanting for Miller again. Rated R then stands Bruce up, whips him into the corner buckle and then goes for a shoulder block only to take a knee to the face from Miller. Miller then charges out of the corner and shoulder blocks Rated R to the mat. Miller then picks Rated R up and power slams him to the mat and then he stands over Ryan and gives the signal he is ready to end this match. Ricky Simms - Can Miller end Rated R's night here? Henry Lesher - Rated R's the man, so no. Miller stands Rated R up and then we see Moose making his way over the guard railing at ringside. Moose pulls himself onto the ring apron and the referee tells him to get down while Miller executes a power bomb on Rated R. From the other side of the ring, CWA Original Steve Hawkins rolls himself into the ring. He places Bruce in a sleeperhold while the crowd boos and shouts at the referee. Bruce fades in the hold while Moose continues arguing with the referee about his right to jump onto the ring apron. Steve places drops an out cold Bruce Miller to the mat and rolls himself back out while Moose jumps off the apron. Rated R then hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Rated R's arm is raised and the crowd boos while Steve Hawkins heads to the announce table and takes Ricky's headset. Steve Hawkins - Bruce has said for years his greatest regret was never beating me at Battle of the Warriors. This year, he gets his shot. I predict further disappointment, just like we saw right there. Hawkins throws the headset back to Ricky while Lesher applauds next to him. Ricky Simms - That was uncalled for. There are better ways to lay down a challenge. Henry Lesher - Yeah, but
that had to be fun for Hawkins. Gloria Lavin - I didn't plan the kick. It sort of happened. Shengee Shmelky - Into my nose yo! Gloria Lavin - Look, we have this down though. Shengee Shmelky - *nodding* I believe in us yo. We gonna be da highlight of Warriors 2011. Gloria Lavin - I certainly hope so. It's been so long since I was on CWA TV. Wyatt Gibson then steps into the picture. Wyatt Gibson - So Flava performs at Battle of the Warriors? Gloria Lavin - Yes we do. After that's done and Ryan has destroyed Shannon, I can apply for my old GM job back. Wyatt Gibson - Boy, you're going to be disappointed all night. Gloria Lavin - Why? Are we going to have sex? Wyatt storms off and we
return to the ring. Ricky Simms - Rose wins her spot! Henry Lesher - That assures that someone will have a bye in the first round.
Rose rolls herself out of the ring to the
floor and has her arms raised by the referee. She then starts to
make her way up the ramp towards the back. The crowd cheers her on. Shannon Skanes - Well, Slim, this is odd considering how little the fans like you right now. Slim Pickens - What are you talking about? Shannon Skanes - You are the most popular wrestler in the CWA for 2010. You joining Lethal Attraction was also considered the most shocking moment of 2010. You were also called the most improved wrestler of the year. The fans clearly respect you. Tonight, as you step into the ring with Lethal Attraction, maybe you can show the fans your appreciation for their votes. Slim Pickens - I am a member of Lethal Attraction. Shannon Skanes - We know. You guys have all the belts. You can tell Lucy she won best looking wrestler and that your sanitarium match at Sunstroke was called the best match at the best event of the year. You've done a lot for the CWA, Slim. Maybe your new selfish streak is the right move. I certainly don't think so, but what do I know right? Slim Pickens - You're really laying it on thick here. Shannon Skanes - Just shooting from the hip, Slim. Don't pay any attention to me. Enjoy your little group and your place in it as their number three. It makes sense that you got tired of being the top guy and wanted a break.
Shannon storms off and Ray just shakes his
head before slowly walking away. Ricky Simms - Lucy is really belittling Slim here. Henry Lesher - Well, she's telling him the truth. He is where he is because of his teammates here. Lucy steps up onto the ring apron and it's First Degree who slips under the bottom rope into the ring. The referee calls for the bell to officially start the match with Emma squaring off with First Degree. They move in for a lock up and Emma eye gouges Degree, knee him in the gut and then gives him a roundhouse kick to the chest that sends him falling backward into a neutral corner. Emma then climbs to the second rope and knees First Degree in the side of the head before dropping out of the corner and going for a snap mare. First Degree pushes her away and then knee her in the back before giving her an inverted neckbreaker and then Degree goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Emma. Degree then pulls Emma to his corner and tags in Lucy Johnson. Lucy and Degree stand Emma up and then gives her a double vertical suplex to the mat. Lucy then goes for the pin while Degree exits the ring. 1...2... Emma rolls a shoulder out. Ricky Simms - Emma is in a bad spot here. Henry Lesher - She has bad partners, too. Lucy stands Emma up, whips her off the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but Emma manages to stop her forward progress and watches Lucy hit the mat before giving her a leg drop to the chest and then she drags Lucy to her corner where she tags in Jack Spade. Spade grins from ear to ear as he steps through the ropes and the crowd cheers. Lucy spots Spade and she rolls to her corner to tag in Slim. Slim seems surprised and asks why she isn't willing to fight Jack. First Degree shouts at Slim to just do his damned job and fight. Slim steps through the ropes into the ring and looks over at First Degree for a moment before he then goes over to Spade. The two of them have a few words and then start trading punches which draws cheers from the crowd. They then start trading knife edge chops. Ricky Simms - Lucy ducks out and sends Slim to do her dirty work. Henry Lesher - Slim just has to remember the pecking order here, that's all. Jack gives Slim a knee to the gut and then whips him off the ropes before giving him a shoulder block to the mat. Spade then lands an elbow smash to the throat on Slim before he stands Slim up, whips him into a neutral corner and then lands a running knee lift to the chest on Slim. Jack then tries to whip Slim to the opposite corner, but Slim reverses that and sends Jack into the corner before giving him a running shoulder block. Slim then gives Jack a side Russian leg sweep to the mat before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Jack Spade. Slim stands Jack up and Jack gives Slim a series of punches to the side of the head. Jack then whips Slim into his corner where he takes a right hand from Adam Smith. Spade then tags Smith in. Smith enters the ring and knees Slim in the gut before giving him a pump handle slam to the mat and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Slim. Smith then stands Slim up and whips him off the ropes. He misses a clothesline when Slim ducks it and then he clotheslines Smith to the mat before he then rolls to his corner and tags in First Degree. Ricky Simms - Despite possible issues, the Lethal Attraction team appears to be united. Henry Lesher - Of course they are. Degree slips into the ring where he then starts trading punches with Adam Smith. Degree then thumbs Smith in the eye and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Degree then drops and rolls himself out to the floor while the fans start a chant for Smith. Degree stands Smith up and whips him shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Degree then rolls Smith back into the ring and rolls himself in as well. Degree then reaches into his tights out of view of the referee and gets a pair of brass knuckles. Slim calls out to Degree from there and seems to have an issue with this turn of events. The two of them argue while Adam rolls to his corner and tags in Emma McIntyre. She jumps to the top rope while Degree turns back towards the action. She hits the Fall From Grace and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Emma gets the pinfall victory. Lucy charges into the ring after Emma, but then takes a dropkick to the chest from Spade that sends her back to the floor. Slim enters the ring, but he appears to be a little lost on which side he wants to help. Ricky Simms - Maybe Slim listened to what Shannon had to say there. Henry Lesher - Don't be stupid, Slim. Stay true to Lethal Attraction or you're going to get destroyed. Ricky Simms - He didn't turn against them. He just didn't see the need for brass knuckles. Lucy stands on the floor and has unkind words for Slim, telling him he had better remember whose side he is on or his title will be history. Inside the ring, Emma celebrates with her partners, the three of them with their arms raised heading into Battle of the Warriors. Ricky Simms - Is this a glimpse of the future for the dominant stable in the CWA? Henry Lesher - No, they have proven time and again that they have the ability to bounce back from anything and this won't be any different. |
