***Razorblade will address the CWA fans***
July 4 - Slim Pickens scaled to the top of the CWA mountain while Lucy Johnson
became the Rocky Mountain champion at Sunstroke. In a shocking move, Slim became
the CWA's top dog when he managed to stand atop the Sanitarium and claim his
first CWA World Title. This all occurred after Jake Masterson again showed why
he's called PrimeTime in keeping his recently won Vivid-Gore Title. He opted to
take that title and head home rather than compete for the other belts, though he
has made it clear he intends to scale to the top himself soon. In a bizarre
move, Henry Lesher left his announce table and followed Vesuvius out of the
company and into Underground Wrestling, a company with some bizarre ideas they
feel will make them superior to the CWA in every way. Time will tell.
June 7th, 2010 - The CWA saw a fiery Assault this past Sunday as Rated R apparently set Shannon Skanes car on fire, attacked Cass Smith and Vesuvius before leaving Kathy's little sister Tricia, in a pool of her own blood as Ryan stated he would. In other action, Effing Legendary Holmes won a non-title match against Bullrush and earned a spot in the main event at Sunstroke in four weeks' time. First Degree also won that right by beating Moose in a hotly contested match. Lucy Johnson was awarded a shot at the Rocky Mountain Title in a ladder match against Wren SilverPhoenix. There is also more new blood coming into the CWA thanks to new GM Max Cameron and much to the chagrin of owner Shannon Skanes.
May 24, 2010 - The challenge was put towards Lucy Johnson and she came through with flying colors in scoring an upset win over the Rocky Mountain champion Wren in a non-title match. Rated R declared war on Shannon Skanes, Kathy Smith and any of their relatives. He now has the task of being the first opponent to Tricia, the little sister of Kathy Smith, in what could be a bloodbath. Vesuvius lost his match to Cass Smith and then was laid out by Black Panther, who is stating his intention to get to the top of the Originals ladder at all costs.
May 10, 2010 - Myst lost her title when an injured ankle took her out of her first and last title defense on Sunday at Terror in the Aisles. Bullrush became a double champion in winning that title and retaining his Vivid-Gore Title, though now he moves past Kirsta Lewis and has to face Mystic. Lucy Johnson made an impressive debut while Slim Pickens made a surprising return to the company. The former GWO champ will be looking to prove himself in the CWA now. With word of the new blood being signed by Wyatt Gibson, there is no telling how tough the going will get as we head towards Sunstroke in June. Rated R looks to have rediscovered his mean streak which is bad news for everyone, especially the owners of the company who now have an R-shaped target on their back.
April 12, 2009 - Myst escaped with the win this week, though Bullrush's foot was on the ropes out of sight of the referee. Will he get a rematch for the title as a result? Shannon Skanes was missing from the show. Max Cameron and Trinity Holmes were missing as well and rumors are already out and about involving this turn of events. Southern Comfort were crowned the Lucasfilm Tag champs on Assault and this ended an already disappointing night for the Angelo family. There's no telling how nasty this will turn for the Angelos now as they will both be pretty mad over the way things turned out. In Shannon's absence, Kathy Smith ran the show and booked next week's matches which should prove to be interesting. Wyatt Gibson wisely laid low most of the night.
March 29, 2010 - Myst snapped at last night's edition of Assault. She hit Moose with brass knuckles to win the main event which seemed to upset Myst as much as it upset her fans. The Angelo Brothers won an open tag match and now have a chance to become the first tag champs of the new CWA in a gauntlet match on the next edition of Assault. Hector Braun was seen backstage, the former GWO owner likely wanting to capitalize on the financial woes plaguing the CWA at this time. Wyatt Gibson just keeps spending money.
March 15, 2010 - The exponential growth of the CWA was on display at last night's Outrage pay per view. The addition of strong and unpredictable members to the roster provided an amazing Vivid-Gore Title match as well as an incredible tournament for the World Title. Ridge, First Degree, Shawn Steele, Deuce and Trinity Holmes are all set to make their in ring debuts on Assault March 28th. Bet on more mayhem and insanity.
March 2, 2010 - The CWA has signed "The Nightmare" JXD as an Uncensored invasion certainly seems to be full effect. Shannon Skanes has stated that he is bringing in this new talent so that they can receive a good pay check as well as to push his veteran stars to be at their best and not get complacent. It's said that Kirsta Lewis, Bullrush and JXD are all excited to be working together again. Scavenger has simply been whimpering about not wanting to get beat up.
February 28, 2010 - With the arrival of Bullrush on the scene, things are all set for the first PPV under the CWA's new direction. In a night of action which promises to be extreme, bloody and intense, we will see new titles handed out and some big names from the past colliding with big names from the future. The captain of the wrestler who wins the big belt at the end of the night will be awarded 30% of the revenues for the event, so team captains have a very real stake in who wins this night.
February 15, 2010 - We now know that Outrage will crown a new champion in the CWA. As many as 16 superstars will compete in a tournament to see who will emerge as the top man or woman in this company. With that as the primary focus for the next month, the Rocky Mountain and Vivid-Gore Hardcore Titles will be handed out in events following Outrage. The Valentine's Edition of Assault has been heralded as a success and there is a lot of optimism within the company about the direction things are headed.
February 10, 2010 - Outrage is already being talked about backstage as that will be the night the CWA crowns the World champion of the company. Word has it that it will be a tournament format and the aim is to have 12-16 wrestlers involved. The matches are said to be brutal in their stipulations and it should be quite the hardcore night. It's possible one other title will be decided prior to Outrage in March.
February 7, 2010 - The first event has been posted. It's just the "meet and greet," but it sets things up heading into next week's first full event.
January 29, 2010 - Rated R has confirmed he will be
inside a CWA ring for the first time in a very long time at our first event on
the 7th. Thus far, the gauntlet consists of Scavenger, Rated R and Jack Spade.
The excitement in the locker room is getting more intense as rumors of Kirsta
Lewis being signed to a contract have made their rounds. Word has it that
Boomshalkalaka and Rodd Gordon have been seen lurking about as well. There is no
word on when or if Freak, Himself will make an appearance, but talks are
apparently underway to make it happen.
January 24, 2010 - There will be a CWA meet and
greet at the Pacific Coliseum at 1 PM Pacific on February 7th in advance of the
first big show a week after. To really hype the return of the company to its
roots, there will be a single match held at 5 PM Pacific when the CWA stars will
ply their trade in a gauntlet match. Participants are yet to be named for this
inaugural event.
January 23, 2010 - Kirsta Lewis rumors are heating
up. She's not known much around these parts, but she's known well around other
parts. Signing Kirsta would be a major coup for the CWA and would fly in the
face of rumors that the company is in decline. The first card since the
re-launch goes up tomorrow and the buzz just keeps getting louder. Romeo
Delight, Jack Spade, Halloween Jack and Troy Jacobs headline the surprising
names to sign on for the first event and it just promises to get better.
January 18, 2010 - The schedule has been set and
Assault is all ready to go. Remember there will be house shows in between, so
checking the forums regularly is a good idea if for only that reason alone. I
intend to have house show results showcase various characters, both active and
inactive. Let me know who you want to see on the house shows if you have someone
in particular in mind.
January 17, 2010 - There have been various sightings
of names we haven't seen in years on the new CWA forums. Word has come down that
the show's name will once again be Assault. We are one week away from the
official re-launch and it's going to be a fun ride. For any outsiders reading
this and considering joining the CWA, it's a great time to get in as there are
some exciting possibilities for this site in the near future.
January 14, 2010 - Roster page design is revealed.
This is done with much hysteria and hoopla. The CWA loves hoopla. Rumors of who
may be coming in are running rampant, but rumors of who won't be coming in are
even more rampant. Usage of the word rampant is soaring on the CWA site.
January 13, 2010 - Re-launch of the CWA brand is
announced by Shannon Skanes. Stay tuned for
updates in terms of changes being made. Most of these will be non-lethal and
enjoyable for ownership. Your enjoyment is not the concern of ownership. Think
of it as a job you don't get paid for and can't tell anyone in the real world
about.
